Daloo and Raven Empty
PostSubject: Daloo and Raven   Daloo and Raven Icon_minitimeSun Mar 25, 2012 3:26 am

*Raven rubbed her head. she had been awake three days now. it felt like she had not gone in there long ago.. but her body disagreed with her. She was not aware of anything that had happened since Yoda had sent her to the Badlands on her mission nor where she was now. The mission had been a fake.. but then Raven had known this before she went away. Yoda had felt the influence Anakin had upon her. there was much clouding her mind back then... even less now.

Moving out side slowly she watched the twin suns as they set... she wondered again what planet she was on. was she safe?

"Where are you?" she pondered quietly

A YT-1900 Corellian Freighter landed nearby. Its pilot was here to pick up something to take to Coruscant. He and MK-11, his Kalibac Industries maintenance droid and co-pilot, walked toward the secluded location where there would be a repulsorlift waiting for him to carry whatever it was he was supposed to bring to Coruscant.

But there was something terribly wrong. He could sense it.

Emkay glanced his camera eye to him.

"Something wrong, boss?" the droid asked.

"I've got a bad feeling about this." Daloo replied.

"I hate it when you say that." Emkay replied. "Every time you do, I get shot."

*Raven wrapped her purple cloak about her, one she had been given by those here. She saw the freighter and sighed.

"Ma'am they have arrived" Sighing she nodded

"And so we see where I am from" she watched them a moment then turned to follow the woman.

A tall man with many a worry line came to greet Daloo. there where many crates ready for transportation.
"Also... there is someone we need you to take with you" he held a holochip in his hands firmly

"I have no details that I can give you. once you are away from here you can view it... this is of great secrecy" he looked about unsure if this was something he should even be doing.

"I understand you do not transport humans but.... well"

"IM not human now am I?" the woman with red eyes came out of the building, her cloak hood covering her hair, a stone sat at the top of her forehead as if keeping the cloak in place. she kept her body covered and her orange skin looked slightly pale... but then Daloo had never seen her before so he would not know.

"Mind telling me what the hell this is all about?" he asked in the trademark Correllian style.

*the man moved closer, clearly embarrassed

"Well.. we had a problem with the Stasis unit... it cracked... we only had enough time to reanimate her" Raven had not moved closer. she looked away listening to them. she still did not remember much but it would come back she was sure...

"Sloppy." Daloo replied, glancing at Raven. "And it's gonna cost you extra for the inconvenience."

"the cost is expectable" he said quickly wanting to be rid of the Jedi as quickly as he could. he served his Emperor well but still the thought of having a Jedi knight, though one that was not fully there, at his home was still disconcerting.

" Raven.." Slowly, very slowly she walked forward. bowing her head briefly, her red eyes meeting Daloo's/ her mind was blank. it was like walking through a forest in pitch black of night

He wasn't a Jedi and he didn't serve the Emperor. In fact he despised the son of a bitch. However, during this time of galactic upheaval it wasn't very cost-effective to choose sides. So while his sympathies lay with the Rebellion, he was on the same side all smugglers and bounty hunters were on---his own.

"Alright, let's go."

It was not Daloo that the man was concerned about. He had met many JEdi.. and though Raven was still finding her footing he wanted her gone before things turned ugly.

The tall man handed over Raven's bag and nodded goodbye. Raven turned and watched curiously as he retreated back within the confines of his dwelling

"Curious..." she murmured

"About what?" he asked, pulling a stun blaster from a holster in his jacket. "Listen, I don't want to have to keep you unconscious for the rest of this trip, I'm not looking forward to it, so the more cooperative you are the better it'll be for us both. Agreed?"

*She slowly turned and looked down at the blaster then back at him

"It is just curious how man fights to be dominant when it is so very easy to see the fear clouding mans mind is all" she replied calmly walking towards his vessel

"Because the man is the one holding the blaster. Let's just get this over with."

He walked behind her, keeping the blaster on her the whole time as they boarded. The Wind was more or less a rust bucket, but she kept flying. Once aboard, he raised and locked the boarding ramp.

"Make yourself at home." he said, headed for the cockpit to get ready to leave. Emkay too followed him.

*She walked up the ramp. yes.. she seemed to remember vessels that where far greater then this. but it worked.

Raven followed them tot he cockpit and watched.

"I do not have a home" she added

He started powering up.

"A Jedi, huh?" he asked. "How in the hell did you manage to survive the purges? More importantly if you're a Jedi worth your salt you already know where I'm taking you. Why aren't you resisting?"

"I was sent away on a mission" she moved to sit down, she was eager to see space, the stars from up there. though she did not remember ever seeing it

"I do not know... Maybe i am not a Jedi... Or maybe i plan on killing you and those that wish harm upon me?" she offered

"If you were waiting for the opportune moment it was when you woke up. You could have easily taken out your captors and been long gone before I arrived."

The Wind lifted off, going through the atmosphere.

"Maybe I choose to be taken" she replied her voice trailing off as she looked to the stars. so much pain and blood had been lost and for what? nothing good had been gained from it. Standing she left the cockpit. her chest hurt from the sudden bombardment of pain.

"Or maybe you -want- to be taken to the Emperor."

*Finding somewhere to sit down she rubbed her red eyes.

{Why did you send me away when i was needed?} she asked silently in her mind. she knew there would be no response. something dreadful had happened. and she had not been there to see it... no.. not to see it... to help try and prevent it....

They hit Hyperspace. He came out of the cockpit and started looking for her. He found her and stood across from her.

"Who are you?"

*Her black gloved fingers linked together in front of her. the rest of her body was covered but them and her face. slowly she looked up at him

"Did your master not tell you who you where fetching?" she inquired rudely

"My master?" he asked. "And no, nobody told me it was a who at all."

*She rose an eyebrow

"Has your Master not trained you at all?" she asked, this time amusement in her voice

"That's a long story, but I'm not here to talk about me. Let's talk about you."

*She smirked

{He doesn’t even know does he?} she asked standing up she smiled. Oh that was coming back. deception of man to hide such pitiful secrets! all where the same. they fought for what they believed was right spilling blood of the innocent and then in the end forgetting what they fought so very hard for

"So, who the hell are you and how did you survive so long?"

* Raven opened her mouth and then closed it. she looked away and sighed

" Raven..." one word, spoken with less then moderate enthusiasm.

"That answers the first part of my question, now for the second part..."

"I honestly do not know that which i have apparently survived from thus i can not answer" she kept her back to him, her eyes watching out into space.

"Master Yoda sent me on a mission far away after it was decided i spent too much time studying Master Anakin" she added softly

"I don't know who you're talking about." he said, quite plainly. "But you're talking like you've got no idea what's been happening the last 20 years."

Then it hit him.

"You don't know what's been happening the last 20 years..."

"I do not know what year it is, so i can not answer your question" she replied

"It doesn't matter. The entire damn universe has gone to Hell in a pleasure speeder."

*Her red orbs settled upon him

"Yes it does matter! what year is it and what the horlena has gone on in my absence!"

"I can probably tell you if I knew how old you are. Okay, what was the last thing you remember before going on your mission? You can't be any younger than the Clone Wars, so we'll start there. Chancellor Palpatine, Count Dooku, Mace Windu, any of those names ring a bell?"

"The clone wars.... YEs Master Yoda had sent me away just before things became very messy...." she began to pace, any of her body that was seen beneath the purple cloak was black. she was becoming frustrated very quickly and thsi showed upon her face finally she slammed her fists down very hard onto the table near where she had sat

"DAMMIT! Cryo units stuff with ones head" she growled loudly....

"Count Dooku was killed during the Battle of Coruscant. Palpatine hasn't been Chancellor for the longest damn time. For almost 20 years now he's been Emperor of the whole damn galaxy and according to the Imperial Database, Mace Windu tried to stage a coup to take over the Senate, which necessitated Order 66. As for Yoda, he was last seen fleeing the Senate. Nobody knows what became of him."

*Slowly she looked up at him

"Chancellor Palpatine is Emperor? I knew he was a snake" she hissed looking away. slowly she straightened up nand moved around the table towards him

"And you? You work for this snake of an Emperor?"

"I hate that snake of an Emperor. But Jedi are persona non grata in the galaxy. There's a hefty bounty out on them, dead or alive, and the Empire pays well...but Palpy's nothing, it's his attack gundark Darth Vader you should really worry about. He's the one who headed up the Great Jedi Purge and hunted down and exterminated the remaining Jedi who weren't offed by their own clone troops when Order 66 was carried out."

"Oh really?" she rose an eyebrow at the man

"And you are collecting a bounty on me are you?" she smiled darkly, those red orbs glowing

"Do not be a fool and think a Jedi without a sabre is unarmed" the sabre she spoke of was in the bag that had been handed over to Daloo.

"I have killed many before you and do not think I will hesitate in taking your life" she threatened

"Making threats is very un-Jedi of you." Daloo said. "But by all means, if it'll make you feel better, go ahead and skin it but my lightsaber is closer to me than yours is to you. You're also very VERY rusty. Can you strike me down before you're bifurcated? You overestimate the situation, Jedi."

He went over to the food processor.

"Don't think that because I'm not looking forward to delivering you to the Emperor any more than you are that I won't kill you to defend myself. The Emperor DOES pay the same dead or alive. So we can kill each other for no damn reason or I can think of a way to get you out of this."

Pouring her a mug of blue milk, he handed it to her.
*Very un-Jedi.. if he had not followed through with the rest of his words that there would have relaxed her. but no... she tensed and watched him moving slowly. her eyes looking him over. YEs she did not have her Sabre on her. something she needed to rectify as soon as she could. this situation was not to her liking. it had been fine five minutes ago. Five minutes ago he had just been some silly little puppet obeying his Master with an untrained flicker within him....

"I see... that is why you were displeased i was not in Cryo-Stasis any more. How many Jedi have fallen because of you?" she asked. she hesitated before taking the mug. moving away from him.... just out of sabre range, she then sat down sniffing at the liquid before tasting it. it took everything to not vomit... still her stomach was not in agreement. but she slowly drank the milk anyway

"Actually? None." was his simple reply. "I don't deal in human trafficking."

*She sipped some more of the drink and licked her lips

"Why? Does your conscience not agree with it?"

"Not especially."

"And you will have to forgive my very un-jedi ways.. if you are telling the truth then it has been twenty years since i was last faced with one who knew how a Jedi acted" she smiled, those red eyes flickering

"it will take a while to change my ways again" she lent back and sized him up

"You have had no training. and you work for the emperor.... Is he blind to that little fountain bubbling within you?"

"Your feelings betray you. I HAVE had training and I don't work for the Emperor. You're only here because I didn't know you were supposed to be my cargo."

* Raven set the mug down and frowned

"Feelings betraying its always about feelings" she stood up dusting her gloves off, moving past him once she saw her bag

"I don’t care what Master Yoda or the rest of you drones think Feelings NEVER led me astray!" this was a lie... but then even Master Yoda had not worked out the truth behind the clouds back on Shili when she was a young Padowan.. maybe if he had things would be different now.

"Sounds like they already have." he said very plainly.

*She crouched down and opened her satchel.. of course her weapons where not in there. Slowly she stood up and turned around to face him, moving closer

"And what makes you so sure of that boy?" she demanded, hand gripping the strap of the satchel firmly

"Because I have eyes and a brain. It doesn't take a Jedi to notice you're angry."

"If most people you knew and loved where dead because some arrogant old politician would you not be angry?" she placed the satchel on the table checking it over nothing else was missing... why had they even been in there? she wondered

"Believe me, lady you're not the only one around here with a damn good reason to be angry."

"Well then how about you return my sabres, take me to your master for a good little pat on the head like the lapdog you clearly are and carry on your merry way" she replied tartly

"I'm also not insane." he replied, smirking.

* Raven rested a hand on her hip and raised an eyebrow

"Well I don’t know about that. after all. you DID bring me on board knowing exactly what I am and conscious did you not?" she asked. Reaching out she felt for the sabre with her mind, he clearly did not have any of them on his person.... but then it was only one she really wanted. at the moment anyway

"Well, I'm a force-user too and it's not like we can hide it from each other."

"well that may be true... But that doesn’t mean you have a chance of winning" she replied with a shrug

"Now. Before we begin some childish pissing contest kindly return what’s mine

"How do I know I can trust you?"

"well yes slicing your head off appears to be a rather good idea.. but it appears that for the moment at least I will need you to get me where i want to go"

"Then I don't have much incentive to give you your weapons back. But if you're so interested in finding them, you're the Jedi, use the Force."

*She sighed and looked about her briefly and shook her head. she looked back at him and rose an eyebrow

"Well one is in the cockpit, where you put it when i left, the other half" she closed her eyes briefly then opened them "IN your cabin correct?" she asked

"You haven't forgotten your training after all."

*she bit her right cheek hard at those words. Oh how she would have loved to have put him on his ass the arrogant little.... shaking her head she turned to pick up her satchel.

"This way then?" she asked before walking in the direction of his cabin to collect said Sabre

"Well it ain't outside."

"Well at least sarcasm did not die while i was frozen!" she replied and walked away from him. so freely turning her back on the man as if he were no threat to her at all.

entering his cabin she reached her hand out the sabre returning to her hand. entering the cabin further the picked up the other two. the small one went back onto her belt and the other two clicked together forming a dual sabre staff

"Home sweet home" she purred happily

"When we land, I'm going to let you go. I suggest you find yourself a nice backwater planet, dig a deep hole, crawl inside and do your damndest to mask your presence from the Empire."

*she turned to look at him as the sabres lit up the dark room dimply lit with red and green she smiled and rose an eyebrow

"Now what makes you think i plan on going to some other swamp planet? I may not be the cleanest Jedi there is but i am still a Jedi non the less"

"Because if you don't, they WILL find you and they will do nasty things to you until you either bend to their will or die."

*She separated the sabres, turning them off and crouching down to reattach them to their holsters on her high boots she looked up at him and smiled

"Don’t you understand?' She stood up and moved towards him, stopping well within arms reach

"I am not afraid of what they can, could or would do to me. fear does not matter when it comes to doing what one believes to be right within" and Raven had so very much to atone for.

"And what, precisely do you plan to do? March to the Imperial Palace and call out Darth Scythe? Challenge Emperor Palpatine to a duel? Get real, the war's over. The bad guys won."

*She laughed and shook her head

"Do you honestly believe that the JEdi are lost? that all have died? Obi-Wan would still be alive and as much as it infuriates me i can feel Master Yoda out there somewhere..." she left of 'moking me' because she knew he did not mock her. she just did not understand the ways of Master Yoda

"I would not even dream about going up against someone such as he, not right now anyway... You know very little about me child. So do not presume that the war has been won!" she informed him coldly

"Yeah, the Jedi, the galaxy, the whole damn universe is lost."

"If everything is lost then why can I feel the connection I once had more then twenty years ago? Why can I FEEL the fighting spirit of those I trained beneath?" her red eyes narrowed

"I don’t care which side you think you are on. but by happily stepping aside and watching the world be destroyed, then regardless of how virtuous you think you are. you are nothing more then another clone fighting for the wrong side!"

"If i was afraid of death child then i would not be on your ship allowing you to escort me to your false Emperor" she replied.

"We're not going to the Emperor." he said. "I'm making a course correction. WE're headed to some outer rim pit, you should be safe there."

* Raven shoved him against the nearest wall and growled at him

"I have no desire to run and hide like a child!"

"Could kill you now and get it over with if you'd prefer." he replied.

"You can try" she snarled, one hand firmly at his throat the other wrapt around her saber just in case he was quicker then she assumed.

He gurgled something, as if trying to say something....

*Sighing she loosened her grip on his throat

"You are hardly something that goes bump in the night!" she growled

"I was just trying to say....My hands are still free...." he growled, and just at that very moment, he placed his left fingertips against her chest and a very intense, massively concussive electric shocks pierced through her left side as lightning coursed through her. More than enough to rend her free of him and knock her on her Zabrak ass.

* Raven went to reply but the electricity distracted her, hitting the wall she dropped to the ground, coming up to a crouch, her hood falling back and green sabre in her hand

"You sure you want to find out who is on top child?" she growled. Her chest hurt and the front of her cloak had been burnt. she would need to fix the clasp on that soon.

*Flinching she lifted her chin, her red eyes glaring back angrily at his.

"I have never been a slave to anything" She growled as she slowly stood up, sabre still drawn. finally, once he had re-clipped his jacket, hers turned off. Well.. He was not the pup he appeared to be.. but then it was easy to put a sabre to ones throat and make idle threats that one thought they could follow through with. Raven was still not sure how far she was prepared to go anymore... she was also unsure as to what she believed in now....

"And why do you hide with your tail between your legs?" she asked coldly, stopping near him again, in the doorway

"Because fighting takes me to a very bad place. You want to turn to the Dark Side? Go right ahead but I'll be damned if you do it on THIS ship. I suggest you go meditate and purge your anger. Your eyes are turning yellow."

He headed back to the cockpit, then stopped, glancing over his shoulder.

"Twenty-One." he said.

*HEr grip about the lightsaber tightened and she snarled watching him walk away. purge her anger? that was not something someone did over night! HA! she had 20 years on ice and that had not cooled her anger it was not about to be tamed by a dog like him! the Temptation was there to strike out of him. and a great deal of her wanted to... but she was not stupid... not twice in one day. she knew better then to strike out without focus. She was not fully focused.
moving into the corridor she watched him walk away. her red eyes following him as he moved away from her. The door across from his opened and she peered in it it would be suitable for sleeping in.. flinching she looked back, watching him.

"twenty one?" she asked curiously. She may have been angry as all hell for the Dog talking down at her but still curiosity was always a winner.

"You asked me a while ago how many Jedi I murdered." he simply said, very plainly.

"Twenty-One." Then he sighed, seemingly staring wistfully at his right hand. "But that was another life."

*flinching she kept her eyes on him. clenching her teeth she shook her head

"Don’t count on me being the next. You are not my Master. Don’t ever talk to me that way again" she growled coldly, turning and walking back tot he main area.

{I am not above killing when one is asleep} she hissed as she went to collect her satchel

"Do you know how to fly a hyperspace vessel?" he asked simply.

*This stopped her. Raven opened her mouth and turned closing it again.. well gee she didn’t want to answer that... An why wouldn’t he just let her storm off and sulk!

"no... No I have no idea I was never thaught I happened to miss that class" she replied slowly walking towards the cockpit

"Then I suggest abandoning the killing-me-in-my-sleep idea. But let's get one thing straight. You're right, I am not your master, but I am not your enemy either. I can sense your pain. You've lost everything you knew and you're hurting. What never abandoned you is The Force. That's why it's all the more important to cling to your Jedi training, meditate and purge all the feelings that are even now taking you down the dark path. Believe it or not, I'm trying to help."

"you are not exactly free of dark thoughts yourself" she replied, though it was a lot less defensive this time. Stoping just out of reach she searched his eyes

"light and dark... if you are trying to help me, honestly trying to help me and don’t truly plan on killing me then I need to know. where do you stand"

"No, I'm not." he replied very candidly. "Because I'm human. If I wanted to kill you, Jedi then you'd already be dead. But you'll never accomplish anything by giving in to your fear and anger. There are quarters on the port side. Spartan but you should be used to a life of simple means already. Calm yourself down. I'll be in the cockpit if you need me."

* Raven rose and eyebrow and watched him for the longest moment. finally she turned and walked away

"I doubt i will need someone like you." came her dry response. she made her way back to the common area and sat down a moment, pulling her satchel over. She wanted to o home more then anything... but home was not there.... since she was thirteen never again. but how could he understand that? any of it...

*Hours had past. Raven sat in the cabin she had found it difficult to clear her mind, to focus, to meditate on things. The anger had been buried again, like always. But she had her reasons.. things that had made her the way she was. Things that he would not learn, Master Yoda would not learn. Non of them… those years before Cryo where buried deep surrounded by darkness and much anger and hatred to protect it.

She sat cross legged upon the floor, her hands resting upon her knees and her eyes closed

“Things will work out…” she promised herself softly… she was scared of what was to come.. what would happen to her,,, where Master Yoda, Master Obi-wan and Master Anakin were.. she prayed non where dead.

They came out of hyperspace over Nar Shaddaa and began their descent. Daloo at the helm, guiding the vessel into the crowded city.

Nar Shaddaa, the Smuggler's Moon, was the anti-Coruscant. While Coruscant was clean, bustling and cosmopolitan, Nar Shaddaa was dirty, polluted and poverty-stricken.

But the passenger would be safe here.

*Her eyes snapped open and she looked about. standing she left her cabin and made her way to the cockpit. curling her nose up she looked out

"Your dumping me here!?" she asked trying very, very hard to stay calm.

"Be grateful, it's one of the few planets--well, moons, actually that the Empire doesn't occupy. There's a very good reason for that."

*Frowning she rose an eyebrow and before she could resist smacked him up the back of his head

"GRATEFUL!?! you are dumping me in the middle of bloody no where and you want me to be grateful!!!" she snapped

"It's not the middle of bloody nowhere and yes I DO want you to be grateful. For everything you've lost, you've still got your health."

*Growling she put her hands on her hips to keep from strangling him

"You cant dump me here!

"Then what do YOU propose we do with you?"

"Well were are you going?" she asked trying to think.. she had no idea where was safe... what still stood anything

"Listen, princess. Nar Shaddaa is run by the Hutts. Unlike the Empire, they aren't interested in Jedi. You're safe. I'll give you a few hundred credits so you can buy passage to wherever you'd like to go."

"Don't talk down at me you lapdog! I don't want to stay here and i certainly have no desire to stay anywhere that has Hutts" she looked out again and back to him

"Or can you assure me that all Hutts from say... 27 years ago are dead?" she added, a hint of worry in her voice

"Lapdog..." he scoffed. "Says the puppet of the Jedi Order."

He sighed.

"I can't assure you that but I can assure you that unless you've made enemies among them, they AREN'T interested in you. It's the Empire, not the Hutts that deal in Jedi bounties."

"well... Maybe after 22 years of not existing bounties are removed?" she suggested. she bite her bottom lip hard as they landed looking from him out through the glass.. a part of her wanted to run ad hide beneath her bed like a child but she could not do such a thing any more. finally she sat down in the closest chair and looked directly at him.

"OK.... Can I come with you... please.... I wont cause you trouble by choice... I will try very hard not to insult you and I will even attempt to share you an amount of respect that you most likely deserve" she asked hastily.

"Probably." he answered, bringing them into the atmosphere. "Bounties are usually called off if the party that puts them out thinks you're dead, and believe me after the few hours I've spent with you, you aren't worth remembering, Jedi."

What, now she was begging to go with him? She sounded scared. That made him chuckle, actually.

"Look, Jedi if you think Nar Shaddaa is filthy, cramped and dangerous, try spending six weeks living aboard a Corellian freighter. I doubt you'd even make it six days."

*Frowning she looked away. it was easier to be angry at him then scared of the past and what trouble it could cause.

"Fine.." She muttered and stood up "I'll fetch my crap so you can be rid of me" she replied finally

"Look, it's just not a good idea. Stay with me and the Empire will kill you...if I don't first."

There was a tad bit of sarcasm in his voice.

"I'd LOVE to have you and your charming personality at my disposal 24/7 but least on Nar Shadaa there's a chance you'll live out the year if you stay out of trouble."

*She shrugged and nodded

"Fine" she just managed to keep her voice from shaking and left the cockpit now. she didn’t trust herself to continue speaking. she moved quickly to the cabin she had been using and lent back against the door as soon as it closed. closing her eyes she reminded herself she was strong. she was powerful. that the Sisters had taught her much while she had been in "exile" she was stronger now... no longer a child

"Doesn't mean the same nightmares are no longer scary" she whispered moving tot he bed putting a few items back in her satchel so she could leave and find somewhere safe as soon as she was thrown off

He suddenly appeared in the doorway of her quarters.

"So where the hell do you want to go?"
*Her first reaction was to throw something at him but she fought that great urge. Sighing she looked down at her bag and sighed

“I don’t know..” she wanted to say somewhere safe… but she knew of no where

"Obviously you want to go somewhere safe. It's safe here as long as you stay out of trouble. Nar Shaddaa is a great place to hide in plain sight, just watch your ass."

"it was not safe 27 years ago Daloo" she replied hoarsely turning her head slightly but not enough so he could see her face, enough that she could look through her hair at him through peripheral vision

"It's not safe now, not for the general public, but we hardly represent the general public, are we? Someone messes with us, they lose an arm."

"no... it was not safe for me then" she turned and looked at him, her red eyes focused on his own

"If the Hutts are as they were back then i will be dead by morning... If im lucky" she added

"Except the Hutts aren't looking for you. I told you that."

*She bit her lip to keep from growling at him

"In case you had not noticed I do stand out in the crowd"

"Then I'll give you a cloak. It's not like you're the only Zabrak in the fraggin' galaxy."

"At least that has not changed" she smirked and sat down. leaning back on her hands, looking up at the ceiling. framing her face nicely where black tattoos that flowed down her neck and over her collarbones, shoulders and down her chest but they disappeared from sit there.

"You know the Sisters taught me much of fear....I think even Master Yoda would have been surprised at the amount they taught me. albeit he would not approve of the methods... Fear is a tool to be used... but then... i had not expected to return to a world gone to hell where few places where safe or free of dark memories"

"Fear is a tool to be used. Fear can be a powerful ally. I was taught that early on."

*She smiled. it seemed they were finally talking the same language, or close to it...

"there is much within the mind and outside it that is a tool to be used. many allies that many Jedi close themselves too... much that a Jedi denies themselves for the foolish titled of light"

"You speak of the Sisters. No doubt the Nightsisters? Maybe you'd feel more at home on Dathomir."

*She frowned and looked away, her eyes sad

"Master Yoda sent me away to find my centre again, to put the past behind me, to see if I could ever....." she shook her head

"Regardless of what he thought and what happened and why it was done yes. I almost killed one of their own but spared her life... Mercy is a weakness, they taught me..... every marking i earned. and the pain of each i would take over a thousand times" slowly she removed her long leather gloves revealing purple skin and black tats though none from the wrist to fingers.

"You ask me if I am Jedi? My answer would be a lie... you ask if I am Sith, a title I could never imagine holding I doubt I am strong enough for the discipline required that’s and I could not kill because another ordered it.. there are none i care about or respect deep enough for that... I learnt a lot from the sisters. opened my eyes a great deal Daloo... But i am not one of them..." turning her hands palm up running a finger over her right hand

"life line through this was my life as a Jedi, the titles and achievements i made. all meant nothing" she said softly. her fingers moving over the dark tatoos across her palm and over her wrist before the same on her left hand

"And this the achievements and hoops i leapt through for the Sisters... Titles do not mean anything... Both places are two worlds that can never be joined... all you need do is looke to the Sith Lords that have twisted the Force into something crippling not only to others but more so themselves...." smiling she shook her head and rubbed her hands together. the tattoos still hurt... now and then they even burnt

"I am boring you yes?" she asked a soft smile upon her face.

"The Jedi shut themselves off to emotion. They're afraid that emotion, ANY emotion can lead to the Dark Side. Those on the dark side are ruled by their passions. They think that letting their anger and their hate run unchecked is the key to power. They're two extreme ends of the spectrum."

He glanced at her.

"Mercy is not a weakness." he said. "Compassion is not a weakness. You're turning into something I've grown to despise."

"You have grown to despise me Daloo? and yet we only just met" smiling she stood up, clipping her satchel over her back like a backpack

"Dont worry Daloo. there is little left in the universe of, 'the dark side' for me to experience.. there are few rules in the universe left for me to bend and break to my will..." she moved toward the door and in turn closer to him. looking down saddly then to him, red eyes slightly closed as if a bright light were behind him

"Do not worry Child. unless i directly choose to be or it is by complete accident. i am of no danger to anyone... but then you know that already... twenty years ago and things would have been different i should think... but then... mayhap you were still a youngling then."

"You want to know what real weakness is?" he asked. "Arrogance. Overconfidence. Pride. That is why I don't want you on this ship. If it's what you want, I'll take you to Dathomir so you can rejoin the Nightsisters."

'you're turning into something i've grown to despise' it should not have hurt so much... but it did.. or maybe that coldness she felt was the lasting effects of the Cryo Ahsoki was unsure. So much of life had been a battle on her own. focusing on improving herself, working hard for this Master or that, burying the death of her twin working hard to keep the truth from everyone.... because had she told them... no matter how much it scared her, how little sleep she got because of the nightmares that sleep brought her she would have lost whatever she had tried to gain when working to become a Jedi Knight.

"I am not one of the Nightsisters Daloo... Maybe for a while i was... no i was never really one of them" she mused looking away. pride? arrogance? and overconfidence.... he did not know her at all and though she opened a little to him... more then she would if she was ever faced with Master Yoda away. looking down she slowly pulled her gloves back on

"One can only step back and look at their past Daloo.... step back, review and learn from it...." It was sort of like an apology for being arrogant... maybe..

"If you're so great, why are you the one who's lost everything? Yes, I'll take you home to Dathomir and that cult who thinks they're Sith in all but name. That seems to be what you really want. I've got better things to do than babysit some schutta who thinks she's a master of the dark side. I've had enough of that crap in my time."

*She felt like she had just been slapped and even stepped back from him

"I lost everything long before the Sisters, long before exile..." her chest felt tight and she shook her head

"I learnt a lot from them. about magic, the Force and more importantly myself...." making her way past him she paused and looked at him

"One less Schutta for you to babysit" she replied and turned making her way to the entrance she had been lead onto the Obsidian Wind from

"The Jedi were wrong about a lot of things, but most of all the notion that the Dark Side was something you could never return from. There's ALWAYS a way back. Always a choice. You want to roll with me, Raven? Then you commit to that choice."

*She stopped looking at her left hand a moment

"I thought i made that choice clear when i walked away from the NightSisters" her voice quiet. Why did she feel like a Padawon child all over again?

"You left the Sisters, but you still walk down the path. There's no infinite power at the end of that road, Raven. Just your own destruction."

* Raven slowly turned around and faced him, suddenly very glad there was several meters between them. her eyes flickering briefly

"what infinite power? Why would i want such a thing? weather such a thing exists or not i have no care for it no use for it! I never did! and I certainly do not now." Slowly she walked towards him fingers flickering lighting, it was not intentional it was just something that happened when she got very upset... she had tried to curb it... and really later she would probably look back on it and be proud of how restrained she was

"I do not care weather there are Jedi in the 'verse. i do not care if the Emperor takes over everything and i certainly don’t care to become the most powerful ever known be it through dark arts or light! BECAUSE EITHER WAY IT WONT CHANGE THE PAST WILL IT!" she yelled stooping her foot tears running down her face

He glanced at her crackling hand. "Try it and you'll be nursing a very nasty stump. You may deny it, but you're very obviously traveling down the dark path. You can't control your emotions and you refuse to. I used to kick the asses of people like you for practice. And that is why you're getting off at Dathomir."

*Stopping she looked at her hand, making a fist she focused and slowly it faded away.
She slowly looked up at him. Turning she walked away, back to the common area. She was not one off them… dropping her satchel she sat down hard…

“You may deny it, but you're very obviously travelling down the dark path” even more words to torment her at night… resting her head agains the desk she took several deep breaths. She didn’t want this.. any of it… but it was so hard… it had been her fault… clear her mind? How could she clear her mind of the crime no one knew she committed? How could she forgive herself when she was there… and yet he had far more talent then she could ever have

"But I'm going to warn you, Dathomir is under Imperial occupation." he said, going into the common area. Yet he sensed what she really wanted.

"Think back to your training as a youngling." he said. "Kneel. Clear your mind, focus only on the Force. Ignore your pain. Focus only on peace."

*Slowly she looked up at him. sighing she removed the two sabres from her boots and the one from her waist and set them on the table. they were her pride and joy... after the bow and arrow. closing her eyes she tried to ignore it. Kneeling down she placed her covered palms upon her thighs and closed her red eyes.

she was wearing a lot more then what she normally would when meditating but she could see he was trying to help and thought it best to do as she was told instead of complaining... Tears ran slowly down her purple lightly tattooed face. slowly she relaxed yet every time she reached a certain point a Childs laughter, that of a boy, filled her mind causing a great conflict in anger, guilt and sadness.

She couldn't seriously need that many weapons. To him, it was overkill.

"I sense the conflict within you, Raven. Let go of your hate."

*The two larger formed her double bladed light-sabre, but keeping them attached to her boots as they previously where one could mistaken them for rations or the boot style the other she had made while in exile. it was a reminder of who she had been and who she was.

Raven flinched as he spoke and sighed {Sleep Quewani, let me focus please} she whispered in her mind. he did not understand.. without that she would forget.... and then she would be no better then those who kept helping her down the wrong path...

she tired though. to clear her mind. to remember that summer on Shili. yes not her racial home but one she knew well. this brought on more sadness but she ignored it, pushing it aside keeping a hold of that calm feeling. Raven smiled softly> how long since she felt that trickle through her core? though it was faint...

The smile was a start. He knelt in front of her and just watched her, placing his lightsaber out in front of him. It helped him focus in meditation.

* Raven had managed not to flinch when he knelt in front of her. though she did change positions slightly, her feet moving swiftly from under her bottom so that her bottom then sat upon the ground, feet tucked in nicely against it. it was habit from the Nightsisters, one she did not realise she had until he sat there with her, now sitting higher then her.

she had not truly realised how much had changed since she left... the seed had been planted while on Shili yes that was certain.. but it had flourished so very much within her..

"Whatever troubles you, it doesn't matter anymore. It's past."

*She bit back the tears. yet no matter how she tried that little boy with the innocent laughter and face refused to leave her mind

"Tell me what troubles you."

"I can not... i can not tell anyone" she replied almost whimpering

Daloo and Raven Empty
PostSubject: Re: Daloo and Raven   Daloo and Raven Icon_minitimeSun Mar 25, 2012 3:27 am

"I can feel that it was very bad, and it has a lot to do with why you are the way you are. There's a lot of regret in you, Raven. If you want to feel better, stop feeling sorry for yourself and start looking for redemption, if you truly want it."

*it was hard to ignore that voice, it was strong and calm. sounding almost safe to her... But was it? Was that voice to someone she could trust? Raven was so very relaxed and yet so very scared of that which she had hidden almost all her life.

"Quewani..." she finally whispered.. well if she was to finally be judged by another then maybe her life would be ended quickly if he saw fit...

"Quewani is my... was... my twin brother...." she kept her eyes closed as she focused on the trees as she finally shared the secret the Masters had never found out.

"we were thirteen when he was murdered.... my first mission with my Master....home..." she replied breathlessly

"You two were close." he said. "Then you need to say goodbye before you can move on. He would want you to let it go."

"no... he would want his murderer to suffer an eternity of pain" she managed, tears running down her face. she tried hard to focus but it was becoming more difficult.

"Would he?" he asked. "Or would he want his murderer brought to justice?"

*She outwardly flinched at his words and hesitated before answering

"Yes... justice more likely...." her voice a scared whimper

"If that will bring you peace, then that should be your mission."

"to what exactly?"

"To bring your brother's killer to justice, of course."

* Raven opened her eyes suddenly. feeling an amazing wash of calm warmth through herself. was she scared? yes. but not that she would die. but that she was about to be honest with someone who’s opinion of her might actually matter

Ever so slowly she reached down and picked up his light sabre and held it out between them for him to take, the blade end pointing to herself.

"How does one bring themselves to justice?" she asked very quietly

He put his lightsaber away.

"By learning to forgive one's self."

*Her gloved fingers brushing over his as he took the sabre. looking at him she shook her head

"Killing another being in cold blood.... i can not think of many crimes worse then that" her voice still that of a whisper

"I didn't say it'll be easy. Nor did I say that you'll be able to forgive yourself in the end. One thing you MUST do, however is learn to live with it."

*Looking down she looked at her hands

"i don’t know how to.... I’ve tried both sides... I have walked the path of light and dark, the way of Magic and none of it makes it any easier..." she choked back he sobs, trying very hard to focus

"They never found out... Master Yoda suspected.... that’s why he sent me away on that fake mission..." slowly she looked up at him

"I do not wish to go to the nightsisters Daloo, please... I can not be who they expect me to be.... i am... just not that person"

"I've always felt that there was a balance. That one could control one's passions and emotions without being corrupted by them. Even that it was possible to love and remain true to the light. I've spent my entire life in the darkness, and I'm trying to find my own path back to the light."

He held out his hand.

"I could use a companion."

*everything was dark. Dark and very hot. Raven slowly opened her eyes. She was restrained and her body hurt through

“Where am i? Is anyone there?” she called out. Soon a woman looked down at her, long hair with braids there where small white beads braided into those braids.

“Youngling sent by the Jedi? They insult us by thinking you are any match for us” slowly her eyes focused and Raven’s eyes widened.. the beads where small white bones in the woman’s hair

“Y…You’re a NightSister aren’t you?” she asked she was not scared… the woman laughed

“You are Jedi and yet your curiosity betrays you” Suddenly pain shot through her right hand. Screaming she tried to pull away but could not

“Now you are something new” the woman told her smiling darkly. Raven screamed as the burning shot through her hand.

*Screaming Raven sat up, sabre activated and in her hand. Sweat ran down her face and her body shook. She was alone… safe… it was dark.. unsafe…. She was on the Obsidian Wind. With Daloo…. Yes.. that was right… slowly she came back to the present… remembering taking his hand earlier that day, excepting his help instead of fighting against him, hiding behind arrogance and pride… slowly she deactivated the sabre and slipt out of the bed. Wrapping her cloak about her she slipped from her cabin and to the common room, her hand tightly about her sabre.

Daloo sat in the cockpit, snoozing. NOthing but the stars outside, really. It was rather peaceful, actually.

Not even Raven having a nightmare really woke him from sleep. He simply wasn't paying much attention.

* Raven fetched herself something to drink. something warm and sweet and made her way to the cockpit feeling his presence from that direction. seeing him sleep she smiled and slowly eased herself into the chair closest, leaning back she brought her barefeet up to the seat she was on. sipping her drink

"At least someone can sleep well" her voice soft not wanting to disturb him.. the presence was what she needed. her sabre sat on her knees, easy for her to grab... it would be put away later... when she relaxed a little more. her right hand burnt and itched as usual.

He wasn't awake now.

"Not necessarily well, just deeply."

"I want to say i have not slept deeply for a long time.. but I suppose Cryo counts as deep sleep" she smiled sipping her drink and sighing contently

"Where are we going?" she asked curiously, her voice very quiet. having gotten past realising that, yes he could hurt or kill her, but he was safe and could be trusted allowed her to finally relax

"Does it matter?" he asked.

* Raven thought about this for several minutes

"No not really.... what happens when you do not take me to the Emperor?"

"Nothing that isn't happening to me already."

"Would it make life easier for you to take me?" she asked quietly, finally she moved the sabre to her belt and curled up more, turning in the chair so that she could watch him. he looked better when she wasn’t arguing with him.

"Nope." he answered. "I told you, I'm already number one on Palpatine's hit list. I wasn't SUPPOSED to take anything to the Emperor, because I didn't think you would be what I was smuggling to Coruscant."

"What did you think you where smuggling?' she asked softly

"Goods, Spice, the usual."

"Im sorry to have not been the pay cut you where hoping for.... but... if its any constellation... unless goods have dropped in quality since i was frozen... he would have been ripping you off... at least you made some money out of me.."

"Jedi are all but extinct in the galaxy." he sighed. "One of my many, many regrets. But seriously, what were the odds?"

"every youngling that shows potential... killed before they even discover a world greater then anything they could imagine"

"No, not killed. Brought to Coruscant and trained in the ways of the Dark Side."

*She looked up from her drink at that

"you let that happen? children.... impressionable children being brought up.... with... wrong ideals of life and the Force.." her voice was still quiet... it seemed a good nights sleep, knowing someone was actually somewhat on her side went a long way to calming her

"Let it happen? I helped it happen, but that was another life."

"We all live many lives it seems..." licking her lips she looked into her now empty mug

"And now what Daloo? I am no saint... but the instinct to protect younglings from being misled is greater then the instinct to run and hide..."

"Jedi, you have no idea what it's like having THEM steal your life away. And when they do, it's damn near impossible to break yourself free from their control. When you're a Dark Jedi, the power is intoxicating. Addictive. You're driven to become the most powerful or else you will be crushed by someone who wants it more. Only the strongest become Hands, and only the strongest among them are considered for instruction in the ways of the Sith."

*She watched him and remembered her time with the Sisters, the day she murdered her brother for a silly think like a bow... reaching over she placed her hand ever so shyly on one of his before squeezing it gently, her bare feet resting upon the ground as she lent over.

"No I do not. and from what I have tasted I know I would not make it back as far as you have nor would I have lived long.... for some reason there is a part of me that can never turn completely... strange for my race no?" she smiled and watched him closely

"But you are not a Sith and I am not a Sister...I don’t want to hide any more, do you?" she asked kindly, her voice soft and quiet.

"It's called a conscience...but unfortunately for me, hiding is the only way I'm still alive."

*She smiled and then frowned

"Can you hide for the rest of your life Daloo? I have had twenty years of my life stolen from me.... i want to make up for those, to actually live.... but how worse will this world be if the Emperor stays in power?" she asked softly

"Look, I do my part. I make runs for the Rebellion to stick it to the Empire when I can. My current situation keeps me mobile. If you're that much of a damn crusader, why don't you join the Rebel Alliance? They're a sinking ship, but they're short on Force Users."

"I think it was made clear last night that I am not a crusader and in desperate need of training to get to where i was before Cryo. you say yourself not many Force Users... why not seek out and find youglings, help train them... it would take time... but i know there are ways to mask Force users right?" she asked

"Because I'm not a Jedi, that's why."

*Frowning she sat back

"I could slap you sometimes!" she grumbled "Then what exactly are you? other then annoying?" she added smiling sweetly

"You don't want to know." was his simple answer. "Besides, Force training from an early age takes time that the Rebellion quite simply does not have. If you want to recruit Jedi, you'll have to use the few that you can dig out of exile."

* Raven snorted and then just laughed

"Me? Oh please! it was quite clear for all where i was being sent and why! i still smell and taste of the Sisters! no true Jedi will trust me.."

"Then you're screwed. I'll tell you one thing about the Order of Vader, though." he said. "They're very well-trained, but the ones who are sent to fight are very reckless. Anyone well-disciplined in the Force should be able to handle them one on one...they can usually be found commanding Stormtrooper units. They're all too obsessed with being the next ones chosen as Emperor's Hands to focus on true Dark Side training, it's mostly all lightsabers with them. Two or three on one and you may have a problem but if you keep yourself centered and remain focused you should be able to handle it. What you really need to worry about is the Emperor's Hands, and Palpatine's Apprentice? He's a flesh and blood nightmare. You see him, you run like Hell."

*Sitting up she listened to his words carefully, looking away as she processed this.

"I could hold my own two on one with a sabre...." she whispered listening to him. slowly she looked at him again

"What did he take from you?" she asked

From that question, he found himself looking at his right hand again, clenching it in a fist.

"More than you know..."

*Sliding forward in her chair she placed her hand carefully on his right fist

"I want to know though"

"No you don't."

*Sitting back she frowned and nodded

"Alright then" she agreed softly, turning to look out at the darkness again

"You'd have a much better chance of getting exiled Jedi to join the Rebellion than I ever would."

"What about Master Yoda then? you said he went into exile?" her red eyes brightened and she smiled at him excitedly

"Well... we could find Master Yoda..... and, and then Master Obi-Won and even Master Anakin.... they could help the Rebellion a lot right? And you travel a lot so it wont seem strange you visit random planets in search of them right?" she asked

"I said he -may- have gone into exile. He'd be an idiot if people knew where he was going."

"well he cant be dead!" she frowned "I swear i still feel his doubtful eyes on me" she shook her head and pressed on

"But that doesn't mean we can not find him right? And there is still Master Obi-Wan and Master Anakin.... Maybe Master Anakin went home and freed his mother like he wanted to?" she suggested cluelessly.

"How do you know he can't be dead, just because he was a Jedi Master you think that makes him invincible?"

He sighed.

"Anakin's dead."

"Well what’s to say he is? Master Yoda was more then a Jed...." se stopped, her purple skin paling as she slowly processed what she had just been told. swallowing she looked away. blinking she finally looked back at him

"dead?' she choked out

"Yeah. You don't want to know." he simply said. "You just don't."

*HEr eyes flickered as she looked away clenching her teeth

"Is there anyone left alive from then?" standing up she grabbed the mug so she could put it away. was she angry? sad? she just wasnt sure... it hit her hard he was gone... but then so was most of the others...

"I don't know, but I'll tell you Anakin Skywalker's fate if you can handle it."

*She stopped in the doorway and looked into that empty mug... it seemed so symbolic...

"I don’t know what i can handle anymore Daloo" she whispered

"Then I'll tell you and you can judge for yourself whether you can handle it."

He turned toward her.

"Anakin turned to the Dark Side and became the Sith Apprentice of Emperor Palpatine. He took the name Darth Vader and led the 501st Legion on the march to the Jedi Temple where they slaughtered everyone inside. Men, women and children. That and Order 66 was the beginning of the purges. The temple fires burned for months after that and you could see them for kilometers. He went to Mustafar where the cowardly Separatist leaders were hiding and officially ended the war. That's also where he met his end at the hands of a Jedi who some speculate to have been Obi-Wan Kenobi. As you might guess, the Order of Vader is named for him. They currently desecrate what's left of the Jedi Temple. The Jedi are considered traitors in the Empire, there's a heavy reward for any who aren't currently in the service of the Emperor. Any Jedi who comes out of hiding for any reason is risking everything."

* Raven closed her eyes and rested a hand on the doorframe, leaning heavily against it, her other hand over her stomach. she felt sick and over heated. she closed her watered eyes. finally she opened then and turned to look at him. anger boiling up again but she tried so very hard to stay calm

"And where were you when my kin were being slaughtered Daloo? where you at the Jedi Temple also?"

"Corellia." he replied to that.

*it would have been so easy to lash out at him but it would not change anything. looking lost a moment she then slumped into the chair she had exited.

"Palpatine ordered them all dead?' her voice was barely a whisper now.

"Yep. Look, don't blame me, I had nothing to do with it. I wasn't brought into the picture until afterward."

"I could blame a thousand people but it would not change the past" she replied managing a smile.

"Daloo you have been around the last twenty years... I have not. so much has changed... Will you help me find those that have survived this... Massacre?" she asked softly

"No, it wouldn't...and no, I won't. I wouldn't even know where to begin looking."

"are you so selfish that your more concerned about your own ass then helping me find those that can help make a difference..." sighing she paced and then sat down again.

"Alright.... we pick a planet... and we go from there.... We can start with the Rim worlds... Hutt territory... if they are neutral then maybe some have hidden there.. MAster Yoda.... no.. maybe Master Obi-Wan?' she suggested

"No, I might sympathize with the Rebellion's cause but I'm a realist who wants nothing to do with the civil war that's going on, who realizes that space is a big damn place, and that any Jedi worth recruiting for your little cause who doesn't want to be found will never be found."

*Standing up she shook her head

"no Daloo. your not a realist" turning she walked away again then turned around.

"anyone trying to make their way back from the dark side would not stand by and watch innocents die. Take me to Tattoine Daloo. I will start my search there, with.... or without your help.... regardless of how much your help is needed" shaking her head she turned and walked away making her way to her cabin.

"I wont waste this gift i have been given or my experiences on hiding like a broken pet like some!" she growled as she went

"You won't find anything on Tattooine but Bounty Hunters and an Imperial Garrison. But I tell you what I will do."

He set his course, then made the jump to Hyperspace.

"We're going to Yavin."

*She stopped and looked back and frowned*

"Fine" she growled and kept walking. She didn't understand why he could hide like a frightened child. she understood he was scared but then so was she ad yet she wanted to try and help if she could...

Entering her cabin she paced for several long minutes. she was angry, angry at Daloo, punching the wall hard she sat down, just allowed herself to drop to the floor and laid down. rubbing her hand over her split knuckles she closed her eyes and focused inward. she could not go into this with anger within her. calm was the only way to go about this. calm and thinking.... she really did not want to do this alone... but she could not make him swim above his fear.. he had seen much that she could only imagine. but the same went for her... but she would respect his wish...

"Hurts to be alone" she whispered

He sighed, bringing the Wind out of hyperspace and exasperatedly adjusted course again. Making the jump, he got up and went to her cabin.

"Fine, it's your life but even IF you manage to get past the Imperial troops stationed there, if the Sand People or the Krayt Dragons or the Sarlaccs don't kill you then the Dune Sea will."

*As he started to speak the door closed in his face

"That's gratitude for you." he said to himself, going back to the cockpit.

{And you deserved it chicken} she replied. telepathy was sometimes draining. but she was calm, relaxed and focused. for the moment

* Raven finally stood up and left her cabin. her satchel set as a backpack and in place. slowly she made her way to the cockpit. she was scared of the journey she was about to embark upon. she wanted him by her side.... he had said he wanted a companion on the journey back from the darkside and she had made it clear that she needed one also.

"Well then.." she stopped just shy of the cockpit, looking to him

"I suppose this will be goodbye then?" she asked softly, not looking directly at him.

The Obsidian Wind landed on Yavin, and she was saying goodbye.

"Yeah." he said. "I guess this is goodbye."
*She stood there and watched him,

"I still think you should come with me.... im going to need a lot of help" she added

"I'm busy with my own war." he said.

"Keeping of the dark path?" she asked

"Something like that."

*Leaning against the frame she sighed

"Maybe i can help?"

"Wouldn't that be like a recovering drug addict accepting help from a Deathstick dealer?"

*She frowned

"Hey I know right from wrong.... And so far I have not taken a life in 20 od years.. that’s a pretty good record isnt it? Can you say the same?" she asked

"Can you commit to resisting your impulses?"

"I cam commit to trying very hard to think through my impulses before acting

"Say the first thing that pops into your head. Don't think about your answer." he said. "You're in a cantina enjoying your favourite drink, a bounty hunter comes up behind you, sticks a blaster in your back and says 'Come with me or I'll kill you where you sit, Jedi'. What do you do?"

*When he started the sentence she thought 'crap' knowing she would fail. sighing she looked up at the ceiling above her

"If that happens I allow him to lead me away so there is no scene and no one within the cantina is injured... regardless of the fact that some there may not be innocent..." licking her lips she sighed

"then when out of the open put him on his ass, find out who sent him after me then knock him out and get my ass off that planet before he comes to."

As soon as he finished, he started with another question.

"You've infiltrated an Imperial base and are duelling the commanding Dark Jedi. You've just disarmed him and now have him at the tip of your lightsaber defeated. If you let him go he'll sound the alarm. What do you do?"

*She frowned. knowing what her answer would be.

"fine I haven’t changed" she growled pushing off the frame she leant on, her cheeks flushed.

"You're stranded on a planet on the Outer Rim, you're desperate for credits. You're in the Cantina using your last remaining few on some liquid comfort. Someone walks into the Cantina who you recognize as having a substantial bounty on their heads. What do you do?"

"one I actually do not drink alcoholic beverages.. it clouds my mind even after a small amount.... and I am not a bounty hunter and nor shall i"

"Even if there's little hope of getting enough credits together so you can escape that backwater hell hole?"

"one thing i learnt long ago Daloo, that i doubt you would understand.... there are more ways for me to gain credits if i need them that does not involve the death of a life nor using the force to bend someone’s mind to my will" she replied in a very quiet voice.

"You know what I would do if I were you in that situation?"

*Slowly she looked at him and rose an eyebrow

"No. what would you have done?"

"Learn Sabacc. Gambling thrives in backwater hell hole cantinas. You may win enough money to buy your own ship, or if you're extremely lucky you may win a ship."

* Raven laughed at his answer and shook her head

"Oh no Daloo I tried gambling once and i am very poor at it.."

"No Force user is ever poor at gambling if they know what to do."

"For those of us that choose not to use the Force to bend the favour in our way then yes there are poor gamblers. Now are you coming with me or not?"

"When survival requires cheating, The Force gives you a pass."

"Well then should survival require cheating you can do it and i'll wait for you at the bar ok?" she suggested

"Survival isn't all of it." he shrugged, smiling. "Sometimes it's just fun when you're playing against people you don't particularly like, like Spice dealers."

"I just don’t find those things fun" She explained shrugging.

"Daloo..." sighing she looked down the corridor and back to him

"If your not going to come with me can you say so now before i loose the nerve and try and hide ok?" she asked honestly

He sighed. "Look, this is for your own good. I'm not just some bush pilot, ok? I'm a smuggler. I do a lot of runs against the Empire. It's very dangerous."

He sighed.

"Are you a mechanic?"
* Raven shook her head

"I am not a mechanic in anyway. I can fight, with a sabre or without, I know Magic regardless of Jedi frowning upon it there is also neutral ground with it. and I can guarantee what ever crap rations you find I can make taste wonderful... without using the Force to trick you"*
"You know who my primary employer is? The Rebellion, most of the time smuggling supplies to people who need it. It's dangerous, high risk work, so don't say I don't do my part."

"OH I’m sure I would say that even to Master Yoda himself" she replied with a smile and moved to sit down near him.

"Daloo. I am still trying to get back in the swing of things I do not know where is safe. where is not. I can not just hide. I am not the perfect Jedi. I know this very well. Anyway How useless can I be in your line of work?" she asked with a smile

"It's not that you're useless, it's that your dangerous. Not only do I try to avoid the Empire, but I'm also trying to stay off the Emperor's radar. You can sense two Force users more strongly than just one."

"Your concerned about that?" Frowning she looked away and thought about it

"There are ways to nullify the ability for a Force user to connect with the Force.... are there not methods by now to hide that one is a Force user?" she asked

"Yes there is, the easiest being focus and concentration. Unfortunately it's hard to focus and concentrate when you're trying to outrun a Star Destroyer."

He crossed his arms.

"Far as your magic's concerned, let me share with you something I've learned. The Force is neither good, nor evil. What IS good or evil are the intentions behind the use of those Force powers. I don't care if you use your Nightsister magic. Just use it against the bad guys."

“When I can, I focus very well. I am good at Meditation. IM sure given a little practice I can mask my presence. I used to be able to quite well. With what I learnt from the Sisters I should be quite a proficient at it I would assume…

"Well the only way I can use my talents against the bad guys, as you put it, is if someone is there to point them out for me for a little while" she replied playfully.. shaking her head she sighed

"Look Daloo I am happy to sit here the next twelve hours if i need to, to argue with you back and forth about what is right and wrong. but.... How about you let me tag along and then... If you get caught with me on board I will let you chain me up and hand me over ok? that should save you right?" she suggested to him.

"Very well, I'll show you who the bad guys are. Come with me."

He lowered the boarding ramp and grabbed his brown cloak. Tossing her a spare. A rather ratty, tattered one that was kind of old. Then he headed out into the Docking Bay and outside, breathing the Tattooine air.

"Mos Eisley spaceport. You will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy. Watch your tight, shapely ass."

He then began walking.
*She jumped to her feet and followed. looking at the cloak

"Do I have to wear that?" she asked raising an eyebrow and looked at him. wanting to wear her own dark purple one... but then hers was clean and in perfect condition and well yes it stood out....

After he answered she put on the one she was 'allowed' to where and followed him. pulling the hood over her head to hid her hair, braided in traditional Sisters fashion still. To those that meet the Sisters or seen then from a distance and lived it would have stood out. once covered she clipped the front of the hood under the stone stuck on her forehead. at his words she absent mindedly covered her leather clad ass beneath the cloak and then let go of it and pulled the cloak around her more.

"So have you had much stolen from you here?" she asked. Her red eyes peered through the darkness her hood vieled her face in. Carefully she reached out, not with the Force. Magic was safer

"No." was his answer.

"See the Bucketheads?" he asked her, pointing out some of the Imperial Stormtroopers walking around and patrolling. She would recognize them as looking exactly like Republic Clonetroopers except with different-looking helmets and dirtier armor, which was common on this dustball of a planet.

" If you want to know what real power feels like, imagine a legion of loyal soldiers willing to charge into battle and die at your command."

Then there was a pause.

"Scratch that. At your -whim-. You'll never get that feeling taming a Rancor, I can tell you that."

Obviously to her, he had the galaxy in the palm of his hand. So why would one want to give something like that up?

* Raven looked to where he pointed and nodded her head studying them briefly

“Wow… The Emperor is in charge of ALL of them?” she asked quietly

“Power you have tasted?” she asked quietly as they walked, she stayed closed to him, half a step behind though

"The Outer Rim isn't where the Emperor's power reaches...yet. But that doesn't mean there isn't an Imperial presence. Hmm, there's usually not that many troops out though. They can't be part of the garrison."

"Mayhap our little ego spat brought some attention" she mumbled. her eyes took in the different races as they moved

"Expanding his territory?" she asked softly

"Mm-hmm." he said. "But order's not as easy to maintain on the Outer Rim as it is in the core."

"Too many places to hide" she muttered "Where exactly are we going? Wanting to see how i react to bounty hunters to see if i was telling the truth?" she mused

"I thought we'd have a drink."

* Raven nodded her head

"Alright.... er.." She paused and noticed some storm troopers watched them

"You do realize that we stand out yes?" her tone a little concerned, silently wondering if he had done that on purpose.

"No." came his response.

* Raven frowned and continued walking. She felt eyes upon them.. but it was not those eyes that she was worried about.. other eyes… eyes that watched her and him closely.

"If you expect trouble, it'll find a way to you." he reassured her, entering the Cantina.

"Still..." he warned. "Keep your lightsaber handy. This place can be a little rough."

Figrin D'An and the Modal Nodes were playing their hit song 'Mad About Me' while Daloo found a booth to look around.

*She nodded her head keeping close by as they entered the Cantina. Slowly she removed her hood, unclipping it from the stone, letting it hang down and cover most of her hair. Her red eyes slowly scanning the Cantina though she followed him to a booth and slowly sat down. She didn’t look right... for one her Sisters Leathers were far too clean and tight.

"Well.... come here often then?" she mused
"Yeah." he answered plainly. "Fun fact. Jabba the Hutt's palace isn't too far from here. It's over hear Carkoon and the Dune Sea. Rumor has it he has a pet Rancor."

*She flinched outwardly at that, her eyes scanned the crowds again and she sunk in her chair slightly, mumbling under her breath, her eyes flickered briefly and then she sat back up looking calmer

"Something wrong? Does the rancor thing bother you?"

"No not at all... I have a talent for animals.. reptilians ones too" she replied with a smile then she sighed

"I told you previously I have a history with the Hutts" her voice quiet

"Well, far as the Hutts go, Jabba is it. He's the one."

* Raven nodded her head

"Well what trouble can we get into really?" she asked optimistically

"Plenty. With Jabba or with the Empire?"

"I would prefer we focus on what his at hand" She replied one hand under the table by her sabre, the other resting under her chin

"Agreed, so what next?"

"Well. You go an buy us drinks" she replied with a smile

* Raven watched as her companion walked away to the bar. She looked slightly over her shoulder as he went and waited til he reached the bar before speaking

“How long do you plan on hiding there and watching me?” She asked. The bounty hunter came into view and smiled behind his mask

“I had not thought it was you. You have a nice bounty on your head, are you aware of that? It seems you upset the Hutt family greatly” She smiled and noticed his hand on his gun holster

“Well I’m so glad you can remember something from more then twenty years ago Jathren. Will that be all o do you plan on starting a scene here? Afterall I did not remove your hand by getting lucky” She reminded him. The bounty hunter sneered at her

“I am not concerned about you. Rumour has it you have been under ice a while” this surprised her.. unless he had known before it happened that it would… but then she had been too far away…. Slowly she stood up. Her height matching his own she frowned meeting his gaze

“Speak fast Jathren. Make your point or I shall remind you of what I can do” she growled. She was completely calm. Focusing inwards. Still hiding her talents, trying to keep bellow the radar.. though it was hard specially when needed on the defensive… he moved closer to her, when her ass bumped the table he pressed himself against her

“How about a taste of what I once had?” he asked, hand moving over her shapely, leather clad, ass beneath the cloak. Her fists clenched and she narrowed her eyes

“Remove your hand from my body before I permanently remove it from yours” she growled. He rose an eyebrow and smiled

“So yuou are still as feisty as ever… Still in all areas I hope” he teased giving her a squeeze.

{I am giving you one final chance to walk away Jathren. Remove your hand, walk away, or you will suffer great consequences} she knew it was a risk specking within his mind and within Daloo’s mind.. but How else to make it quite clear she was ready to silently end the bounty hunters life? She did not want a scene and she did not wish to take his life. She wanted to work hard, show Daloo she could do this… but she had warned him, several times and he persisted, she felt that gave her grounds to be more forceful… but was lightsaber more subtle then using the Force to bend his will and make him walk away, long had she forgotten the gun at his waist.

Daloo returned from the bar with two Corellian Ales.

"This one's not worth the trouble." he said to Jathren. "Let me buy you a drink."

*Raven gritted her teeth. she was all set to put the long time acquaintance on his ass.. but Daloo saved him. Moving Raven sat down. frowning at Daloo. once seating she watched as Jathren slowly sat down.

"You have a protector?" he taunted. Raven sighed but choose not to answer

If that's the way Jathren wanted it. Daloo just did a subtle wave of his hand. Initiating the Jedi Mind Trick.

"You want to leave the lady alone...."
Jathren rose an eyebrow and looked up. a dark smile upon his face

"No I do not" Raven sighed and looked away

"Your barking up the wrong tree Daloo" she replied looking to Daloo quietly.

"Yes, you do." he replied assertively to Jathren. "I won't warn you a second time."

Daloo and Raven Empty
PostSubject: Re: Daloo and Raven   Daloo and Raven Icon_minitimeSun Mar 25, 2012 3:28 am

“Are you sure you want to be threatening me?” He smirked and looked over to Raven. “I think perhaps you should tell your friend who he is messing with? I hate to see this escalate any further. We don’t want to make a scene do we? I mean after all MY beautiful cute Raven might just attract the wrong people. If I found her so easily who you think might also be here?”

"Buddy, I -am- the wrong people." Daloo replied.

Since the Jedi Mind Trick didn't appear to work, he decided to try a stronger form of persuasion. Sith Mind Control. Reluctantly...he hated dipping into the dark side, and only did it in extreme circumstances.

"You will leave and you will forget you ever saw us." he commanded, staring directly into Jathren's eyes...and his mind.
*Raven gritted her teeth and looked from one to the other... She had been back less then a month and had already caused a scene.... Sighing she looked to Daloo

"This... is one of the many people who taught me a thing or two...." she explained taking a cup from Daloo and sipping it.. it was not pleasant but when Daloo did that she coughed briefly. she shivered, goosebumps ran over her skin as she felt it. Boy did she ever feel it. Closing her eyes Ravenn focused inward. opening them slowly she looked to Jathren with, now, yellow eyes, a silent warning passed between the two and then she looked to Daloo

"If you insist on redemption for either of us do NOT do that!" she focused hard, eyes slowly flickering back to red

His eyes grew cold and he stared at Daloo. “You treading very dangerous ground boy! I am sure Raven can attest to that. We can do this the hard way or the easy way.” He put his foot on the table and sighed. He looked over to the bar and then back to them. “I might forget you for…ohhh 2 million credits. Think that might work better then what you are trying to do. We hunters got a little training you see. You can only influence those with week minds. After all what do you think I use to do? If I was influence so easily like that I would be out of work back in your dark days. 2 Million credits and I will give you a head start, or maybe 100,000 and Raven here for a bit for my own fun and games.” He smirked again.

"How about a better deal?"

Since he was apparently also resistant to Sith mind control, he decided to get his message across the Outer Rim way. In the blink of an eye, there was a DL-44 blaster at the end of Daloo's arm pressed right up against Jathren's forehead.

"Force training, huh? I'll let you know when I'm impressed. Allow me to finish, Bounty Hunter. You will leave and you will forget you ever saw us...before your brains festoon the walls of this establishment. If you make a move, I will kill you. If I see you again, I will kill you."

He growled.

"If you respond with attitude, I will kill you right now. SO PISS OFF!"

*Standing up she slammed both hands down onto the table

{THATS ENOUGH BOTH OF YOU!} she yelled within their minds. she was getting angry and didnt really want to see anyone dead.. she looked to Jathren

"How about you give up. 1-i was never your and i never shall be. Nor am i his to give. Daloo. I am sure Jathren can try and be polite...." yes she had nothing else to add to that to back up that theory sighing she sat back down

"Fine have it your way children" she growled sitting down, holding her hands out disarming both men of their guns, holding them both firmly one in each hand. The Force had its advantages... She had not taken Daloo's saber.. she was not that stupid to do that...\

“Ugh boy did I read you wrong.” He did not look at Daloo and just stared at Raven. He sighed and grabbed his drink. “You still got it kid” He downed his drink in one gulp and sighs. “Don’t dent my gun please.” He looks at Daloo. “You sure have an anger problem you know.” He shook his head. “You are making a scene in front of many people loyal to the Galactic Empire and Hutts. This chick saved your life because as soon as you gun me down I am sure many of the people here would have done the same.v

"They're certainly welcome to try," fact of the matter is, he could slaughter the entire Cantina if he had to.

"But you've got it wrong...I don't have an anger problem. On the contrary, I'm quite fond of anger." he said, glaring at Raven, holding out his hand. His blaster jumped into it, and he returned it to its hip holster.

"Fine, you want her? Take her, it's not like she's paying me anyway. If you ask me, she's not worth the bounty but it's your bounty, Chubby. Don't spend it all in one place. Just send me a picture of the look on Jabba's face when a third rate bounty hunter like you brings him a Jedi. That and I'm sick of your pathetic attempt to intimidate me. You don't even know what real intimidation is. If your family were here I'd be happy to give you a demonstration."

He was trying to protect her. If she didn't want his protection, she wouldn't get it. The last thing he needed from her was her sabotaging his attempts to save her life. She had no idea where they were or how things worked out here.

"As for you, Chuckles if I ever see YOU again, there won't be any exchanges of macho banter before I kill you where you stand. Good day."

With that, he began to take his leave.

*He was angry.... And angry with her just for wanting to try and avoid a fight or a scene.. Raven closed her eyes and looked away. why did men needed such pissing contests? she looked from Jathren back to the standing up Daloo

"Are you happy now? Why do you have to always try and ruin my life?" she demanded of Jathren. she stood up and moved

"Daloo wait..." she asked. why did things always have to be. turning around she glared at Jathren

"You did this when I was 13 with my brother, you did this on my first assignment on my own and you had to ruin that to!!" The man had been there on and off most of her life, always causing trouble, pushing at her emotions, angering her whenever he could. taunting her... even after he had managed to bed her it still went on worse then ever. She was angry. but for once she stayed somewhat calm. her eyes staying red. She looked to Daloo again

"PLease dont go...." Her voice very quiet. and then her following words just for him, within his mind. {I need you...}

A smile crept on his face and he turned to look at Raven and sighed. “Damn and here I was thinking I get another shot in the sack with you. That boy and you are treading dangerous ground Raven. You should abandon him and come with me.” He smirked and stood off. “Go on…enjoy your little boy toy for now because no matter where you run. No matter where you go My little Raven I will be in your shadow staring that beautiful back view and with maybe a gun to your head.. maybe” He stood up and walked away from the table. “Oh by the way. Next time he tries that trick I might have to show him mine Raven. He has potential but…well I let you figure that out. See you around my little force wielding sex toy.”

The bounty hunter was moving off. So that eliminated his. Walking back while he was taunting Raven. Casually pulling his blaster and pressing it against the back of Jathren's head.

"A gun to her head?" he said from behind, holding the blaster. "You mean like this? Blam!Tell Jabba to send Boba Fett next time, at least he makes things interesting."

He removed the blaster from the back of his head, then sat back with Raven. Staring daggers at her.
*Raven tensed and looked up at him. she clenched her teeth together and her hand moved down to her sabre. she had been about to ignite it when Daloo came back. Sure Jathren had hurt her and been beyond rude but still.. she tried not to look at Daloo

"Jathren. i think it is for the best that you leave now" her voice deathly quiet, threatening

He chuckle a bit feeling the blaster to the back of his head. “Oh? Maybe you have some talent, then again maybe not. Well if it’s for my best I guess I should leave.” He shrugged and he will let them have this small victory. He waved his mechanical hand at Raven. “Tata sweet cheeks think of me in your dreams. I know you will.” He continues walking away, smirking to himself about something. He disappears out of the Cantina.

Daloo let Jathren leave, then sat back down, staring daggers at Raven the entire time.

*RAven watched him leave, biting her cheek firmly to keep her focus

"Can you lecture me back at the ship instead of here please?" she asked in a quiet and shaky voice

"Oh, NOW you care about discretion? Sit. Down."

*She sat down. her eyes on the table. hands linked in her lap*

"Rule number one of being a fugitive. Don't draw attention to yourself. Rule number two, You do not draw attention to yourself. Rule number three, do not provoke the bounty hunters. There's a reason I don't go around advertising what I am and if you're smart, you won't either for the exact same reason. If you EVER blab about the Force or talk about me as a Force user in public again I'm stranding you on whatever rock we may currently be on. Hell, Jabba himself is kicking back just a hop, skip and a jump away from where we're sitting, do that here and I may turn you in for your bounty myself. Are we on the same page?"

*Raven nodded her head solemnly, her cheeks flushed

"Understood" she replied very quietly

"Very good." he said, standing up. "We've overstayed our welcome..." judging from the eyes looking at them.

"I suggest we take our leave."

*Slowly she stood up after he had. wrapping her cloak around her and pulling the hood down over her face. She didn’t not respond but followed him quietly*
He left the Cantina and waited for her. THere they would blend into the crowd. He could see the Imperial Troops coming down the street to investigate the incident that had happened in the Cantina.

*Raven's head was bowed, so the hood hide her better. She walked silently along behind Daloo, keeping very close but mindful to stop as he did.... what had gone wrong over the years to cause her to fall back into the role of apprentice? She was not sure what made her feel worse. what Jathren said about her or the fact that yet again she was corrected for her wrong actions...

The difference was, he hoped she understood as the Imperial troops walked past that wrong actions out here could cost her her life.

*she understood... OH she understood well... and she was, in part, grateful... but she had a moments scare.... Pitted in that situation again she wondered if she would try to stop it. No... if it went again she would sit back and let them work it out.... those words had cut deep.... She closed her eyes and slowly let out a deep breath.

"are we leaving now m...Daloo?" she asked quietly. She wondered how long Jathren had known she was back for. weather he would be lurking, following..

As the Imperial troops exited the Cantina, he turned into a shop. He would hope that she would do the same.

*Ravenn followed him closely, ignoring the curiosity to look back. peering about the shop before looking to Daloo

"Are we to stay here? or will we be space-bound soon?" her voice quiet, like a child having recently been reprimanded, careful of what to say

He simply turned to her. "We will look around."

And wait until the Stormtroopers were clear. So he decided to pass the time by looking at the items in the shop, which just so happened to be droids.

*Nodding she slowly loooked about. her red eyes looking over this droid and that, keeping her hands firmly linked together behind her back. she felt eyes upon her... was she just being paranoid? maybe...

"Ahh, welcome!" said a Rodian, coming in from the back. "Welcome to Pirro's Droidporium! We have all variety of droid, and we also give you credits for your used droids!" Pirro said in Rodian.

and resell them for a markup.

"Is there anything I can help you find? We received a fresh stock this morning!"

"Yes," said Daloo. "Do you give the Jawas a group rate?"

"You insult me, sir!" Pirro puffed. "Look around, we have the best selection on Tattooine!"

*Raven watched the two curiously and then smiled at Pirro's response, covering her mouth, hiding her smile.

A blue astromech droid began following Raven around. Daloo was looking at a gold protocol droid.

"You have a good eye, sir!" said Pirro cheerfully, "We got that protocol unit in this morning!"

"Greetings, sir!" said the droid. "I am C-3P0, Human-Cyborg relations! And there is my counterpart, R2D2."

"I'm a freighter captain, I don't have any use for a protocol droid." Daloo replied.

"Of course not, sir. Not on a freighter, but I am fluent in over 6 million forms of communication, including the binary language used by most transports. It WOULD increase your maintenance efficiency by a substantial margin, if you'll permit me to say so, sir."

"I suppose you have a point. Hey, Pirro! How much for Goldilocks!"

"Excuse me?" asked Threepio.

"Ah, you have a good eye. That protocol droid is in prime condition. A bargain at 2500."

"2500, huh?" asked Daloo. "Let's haggle..."

Meanwhile, the blue astrodroid began chirping at Raven.

*She watched him as she walked around looking at this and that. Raven tried very hard not to touch anything. and that constant chirping was annoying. finally she turned around and glared at it

"STop it!" she continued walking... it was still there. turning she looked at it, hands upon her hips

"Where is the off button?" she demanded coldly. it kept dammed chirping!

"Whirrrrr-WHEEP! Chirp-BEEP-boo-WEEP!" protested the astrodroid who seemed to have a mind of its own. Then beeped and whistled sympathetically.

*She was not a fan of droids.... they were annoying.... and got in the way.. leaning closer she pushed a button and got zapped

"OW!" shje shook her hand and sucked on the finger, glaring at the astrodroid, she retaliated in a wonderful mature fashion by kicking it

Artoo responded to the kick by zapping at Raven again.

*Yelping she spun around, hand coming out and caught herself.... tensing through she smacked it on top and scampered away through the droids to hide behind Daloo

"What do we need that for?"

The protocol droid C3P0 walked up to her. "Excuse me ma'am, but that astrodroid seems to have picked up a slight flutter. If I may translate what he was saying to you?"

*Raven folded her arms and rose an eyebrow at the Droid before her

"If you insist" She hated Droids.. and would have loved, loved, loved to have trashed every single one of them. how long would the haggling take before Daloo agreed to leave empty handed with only her?

"Artoo bids you hello and thinks you are pretty."

Artoo beeped again.

"He apologizes for shocking you although he would like you to ask permission before manually accessing his functions."

Artoo beeped more.

"He hopes there are no hard feelings."

*Raven opened her mouth to reply but closed it again... it thought she was pretty? it told her she was pretty? She blinked and shook her head... it was strange hearing someone describe her in terms like that.... normally it was dark, dangerous, horned and so on....

"No hard feelings.... just... Please do not follow be around like that... it was creepy.... And I’m sorry I accessed your functions without your permission" she added with a tiny smile, rather embarrassed that she was having a civil conversation with a Droid.

Daloo came back and paid for the droid.

"You are an excellent negotiator." said Pirro. "I hope you do not wish to enter the droid trade." he joked. Daloo then turned to leave.

"Ok, Goldie, let's go."

C-3P0 turned and started walking toward the door. Artoo began protesting, whistling and beeping loudly. Pirro began walking over to it, zapping it with some kind of electrical apparatus.

"Pardon me, sir. This little one is quite the troublemaker. I'm going to take it in back and erase its memory right away!"

Pirro began pushing the little droid behind the counter, towards the back for the procedure.

"If I may interject, sir." said C-3P0.

"Go ahead." replied Daloo.

"I've worked with that R2 unit before. He's in prime condition, a real bargain. You'll not find a better living mechanic in this region of space. It would be a wise business decision for a freight captain like yourself to take him."

He watched Pirro cussing out the droid. Feeling a bit of pity for him. Then...

"Hold it!" he shouted after Pirro.

*Raven looked up from R2 as Daloo came back and smiled then canted her head to the side

"We're taking the Droid? she asked as she began to follow.. as R2 began to Chirp and she turned to look at him. it was like he was whinging. she looked back at Daloo and canted her head to the side

"are we going to take him too?" she asked curiously

So, on the advice of his new protocol droid, he purchased the R2 unit. Then the foursome walked out. As they left, C-3P0 turned to his little friend.

"Don't ever forget this." he said. "You owe me one."

Artoo cheeped. "No, I don't think she likes you at all."

Artoo beeped.

"Oh, switch off."

The foursome headed back toward the docking bay.

((*laughs and rolls about))

*Raven found this curious. but followed in silence, keeping close to Daloo. moving through the docking bay, she was looking forward to returning tot he ship

"Why both?" she asked quietly

"Why not?" replied Daloo. "Let's get those two cleaned up."

*Shrugging she nodded and followed him into the Obsidian Wind

"Shot gun the little beeping one" she said as they entered.

"I think the little beeping one is kind of cute." he said, leading the two droids to the maintenance bay, where he set about with the cleanup.

"There's a lot of carbon scoring here, looks like you two have seen a lot of action."

"More than you can imagine, sir." answered Threepio.

"So what are you doing here in the ass end of space?"

"Well sir, our ship was attacked. We managed to get away in an escape pod. Then we got taken by Jawas who sold us wholesale to the Rodian who sold us to you, pardon me, but I never got your name."

"Crispin." he simply said.

"I see, Master Crispin. Anyway forgive me for the brief, boring summary. I'm afraid I'm not much more than an interpreter. Not very useful for telling stories."

"It's fine. I could tell you quite a few of my own." he sighed.

"May I suggest, Master Crispin that an oil bath would do wonders?"

"No oil bath." replied Daloo. "It's a small ship, so we have to make do."

"I see, sir."

*Following along she nodded. settling down with the job at hand

"Looks like neither of you have been cleaned in a long time.. don’t Jawas know how to clean their stock?" she asked as she began cleaning up R2

Artoo whistled and beeped anxiously. Daloo turned to him.

"We'll get to you in a minute, little fella! Jeez, hold your banthas."

"As I said sir..." chime in Threepio. "A slight flutter. He's always been that way, I'm afraid."

*Raven chuckled

"When he isnt following me around a sand infested flee pit chirping at me its ok" she smiled and patted R2 on the head

"So.... what are we going to do with you two?" she eyes 3PO

"Well." said Daloo. "-We- are going to clean these two up first. Then head back to our mission."

"Was that the royal we of. I do them both or you do them so I don’t break them further?' she asked

"Think you can handle the protocol droid?" he asked her.

"I can handle turning him into a pile of scrap metal" she replied shrugging her shoulders and moving ove. Sitting down she looked up at the droid.

"Hmmmm Do i take the outer....layers off?" she asked

He put his hand up. "Just settle for cleaning him." He moved over to start prying all the carbon out of the R2 unit.

"Man, you sure are a mess, little guy."

ARtoo beeped and whistled.

"I didn't mean it that way."

*She shrugged and nodded

"Your the boss, it seems" last bit was said under her breath as she set to work getting the cloth to start cleaning him

"There's a certain touch you need with these astromechs." Daloo said, when suddenly the droid's camera eye switched on. Revealing a beautiful young woman.

"Help me, Obi-Wan Kenobi. You're my only hope..."

"Hello, sexy..." whispered Daloo, watching the holo. Which kept resetting again and again and again.

"Help me, Obi-Wan Kenobi, you're my only hope. Help me, Obi-Wan Kenobi, you're my only hope."

*Raven stopped what she was doing at the mention of the name. she looked over. her red eyes narrowed as she watched.

"Find yourself a girlfriend in the Astromech?" she asked and turned back cleaning. she looked at C3PO

"You knew Master Kenobi?" she asked, looking from the Protocol Droid to the other one that Daloo was working on.

"What's that?" Daloo asked.

Artoo beeped again.

"What do you mean what's what, what is that?" scolded Threepio.

Artoo beeped again.

"He says it's nothing, sir." Threepio said. "Old data."

"Help me, Obi-Wan Kenobi. You're my only hope.

"Obi-Wan Kenobi?" asked Daloo.

Artoo beeped again.

"Help me, Obi-Wan Kenobi. You're my only hope."

"He says that he is the property of an Obi-Wan Kenobi, a resident of this world, and that it's a private message for him. He says if you remove the restraining bolt he may be able to play back the entire message." Threepio stated.

"Help me, Obi-Wan Kenobi. You're my only hope."

Daloo shrugged. Fixing to remove the restraining bolt.

"I've never been a fan of restraining bolts personally."

Artoo beeped.

"Artoo appreciates your sympathy, sir." Threepio translated.

Daloo pried off the bolt, and the message disappeared.

*Ravens head snapt up

"here? Master Kenobi resides on this planet?!?" she then looked to Daloo... if this is true we have to find him!

"If Kenobi lives here, he doesn't want to be found."

"But if he is here we can find him... right Daloo?" she asked, her large red eyes pleading

"He probably wants to be left alone. Besides, What reason would he have to trust us? He'd smell the stink of the dark side all over both of us."

"because he would remember me from the temple. what more would he need?" she replied "You cant always be negative about things Daloo! sometimes things will work out. why else would we be in this sand pit?" she demanded, looking at the cloth and then to C3PO, shoving the cloth into her hand she stormed from the room

"Clean yourself metal man!" she growled making her way back to her Cabin.

"I say, she is quite perturbed, is she not?" Threepio asked.

"She'll get over it." he sighed.

*She paced for five minutes and then sat on the edge of her bed and closed her eyes, focusing a moment. clearing her mind.

Thirty minutes later she returned. calmer.

"What’s the worst thing to happen? We spend a few days filling our cracks with sand and you get a bit sunburnt... just three days? Either way you should probably find Master Kenobi to find your dream girl R2 showed you right?"

"...or she'll turn to the dark side and I'll have to put her down."

Artoo gave a melancholy sigh while removing Threepio's restraining bolt.

"Thank you sir." Threepio said.

"Don't mention it." replied Daloo.

Then Miss Thing walked back in.

"She's not my dream girl. Pretty? Yes, but that's it."

*She rose an eyebrow

"So are we going to look for Master Kenobi or not?" she asked Her eyes focused on Daloo's

Daloo sighed.

"CLose your eyes and picture this. We take the droid to find Kenobi. Even if we DID know where to look and even if we did find him and even if he's still alive, he senses the dark side pouring over both of us. We tell him our story and even show him the message. Who's to say he won't think it's a trick and that we're here to kill him?"

"...Hell, that's what I would do."

*She sighed and folded her arms

"Then what do you propose we do? we forget about this woman? we forget about Master Kenobi? the Jedi? all of it?" She asked

"I'll grant you that he was a great warrior once, but that was ages ago, Raven and he hasn't exactly been living the sweet and pampered life these past 20 years. The desert ages you. I'll wager he's a broken down old man and not the great Jedi General the woman in the hologram seems to be expecting. What I propose we do is, we take the droids to the Rebels and let them figure it out. It's their problem anyway."

*Raven bowed her head a moment and closed her eyes. looking up at him she nodded

"Alright then" No argument in her tone.

"We're not leaving yet." he said. "I need to get some parts and equipment here first. Then we'll go."

"Alright" she replied quietly. Keeping her thoughts to herself.

"And what would you like me to do in the mean time then?" her voice still quiet. Her eyes on the ground, not looking at him.

"Meditate." he replied. "Centre yourself."

*There was a flicker of her about to object but she bite her tongue. Nodding her head

"Alright"

*Raven sat in her room upon the floor. Her eyes closed. entering herself she closed out the outside world. focusing inward. her breathing slowed as she slowly worked through her mind. Focusing on each thing that caused her grief, each thing from her past that pained her. Giving each some time, before moving on, sealing them off and locking them away. Slowly she moved on through each an every in

it had always been a struggle, to keep her mind focused, to centre herself and walk away from things that had happened in her life… but now… now she had to move away. Ignore the childish incidents of her past… the world had become a dangerous place and she needed her wits about her if she was to stay alive and fight. How else could she convince Daloo she was worthy of his time…an equal even…

He sensed that she struggled with it. Centring herself. Keeping her mind focused. Something she was taught as a Youngling at the Jedi Temple. A fundamental Jedi teaching that she had to get back in the habit of.

The Jedi were wrong about a lot of things, but not everything.
*At one point Raven actually drifted off to sleep, only to wake up with a start as her face hit the floor.. sitting up she rubbed her nose and closed her eyes again and focused... it was easier now.. always easier after she fell asleep and woke up... her mind was usually easier to clear.

Though as she slowly centered herself she had begun to relax more, saddly actually now seeing the logic in Daloo's decisions..

Daloo was in the hold, re-arranging some cargo they were carrying that had gotten mixed up in the last encounter with an Imperial Star Destroyer. Keeping his mind mainly on his work.

*Finally She emerged from her room. Her red eyes a lot clearer then before. She found Daloo. After finding R2

“Hey there little guy. All cleaned up huh?” she knelt in front of the Astrdroid and looked him over giving a nod of approval

“Seems Daloo can clean cant he?” she teased turning her head to look to Daloo

“Need some help at all?” she asked cheerfully

He came in from the cargo bay, having finished straightening everything out.

"Ah, you're awake. And you look better." He told her.

*Raven nodded her head, eyes closing as she nodded, then opening to look at him once more*

"Yes. I am feeling much refreshed, thankyou." she replied in a soft voice. Slowly she stood up, patting R2

"You have been busy

"Maintaining a YT-series freighter is busy work." he replied. Getting her some food and some drink.

"You?"

*She excepted the food ever so eagerly. nibbling on it very slowly as always. slowly sipping the drink

"and what of our business on the planet? or where you waiting for me before leaving the ship again?

"Just parts to pick up, that's all."

*Raven nodded her head

"And will we be leaving after that?" She seemed to have now excepted the fact that they would not search for Master Kenobi
"Yeah." he glanced at her. "So what was life like? Before the dark times."

"different. I worked hard trying to keep between the truth of my past and still succeed... it seemed the only reason I have never advanced further is because I have always and am afraid of the Force being used badly again by myself" she explained honestly and ever so calmly

"We all struggle with that. So what did you do back then?"

“Well Master Yoda did not like me fighting… I used my anger to much to fuel it… Maybe that’s why he taught me the battle meditation techniques” she mused and thought a moment as she nibbled on her food

“I was going to be a seeker. Along with Battle Meditation I can seek out other Force users very quickly…. Or at least I could before someone thought it would be fun to freeze me”

"You must have utilised Vapaad...wait, what? Battle Meditation? That ability is rare even for Jedi OR Sith!"

*Raven nodded eyeing her piece of food. All this was rather boring... purely because she could do it. she knew the ins and outs of it

"Yes." she canted her head to the side and shrugged

"Well... Yeah that’s what they said....It is potentially a reason why I was sent away... Understanding the situation from this side of history it would have been a bad idea having me in the Jedi Temple during the purge.... At least I think it would have...." she frowned and thought it over a minute.. On one hand she could have helped them... but there had been to much darkness on the surface.... but.. not as much as now.... it made her head hurt

"Do you have any idea of the danger you're potentially in? Being able to, single-handedly, turn futility into a rout?"

He sighed.

"No, I don't think you'd have been killed. Captured, tortured and turned to the Dark Side--which honestly wouldn't have taken much of an effort, and you'd have easily been an Emperor's Hand. Hell, the war would be over by now if the Emperor had you on his side."

*Raven's face went bright red and she looked away

"Well now its quite clear why Master Yoda sent me away" her voice a mumble. Setting her cup down she looked at him and shrugged

"SO? Would it matter where I go? Anyone else that can sniff out a Force user as well as I could or you can would KNOW instantly. Better I be with someone who can get me on my feet." She suddenly was very hungry over but ignored it.

"Its alright... things are clearer... I cant sense anything closer enough that could do serious damage" it was the truth.. but it was still a very naive sentiment

"They'd only know that you're a Force User. For anyone to seek you out specifically for your Battle Meditation they'd have to already know you possess it."

"Well there you go. I’m safe...." she frowned and sat up

"Jathren knows..."

"You think he'd tell?"

*She thought this over a moment. not that she needed to.

"Only if he had something to gain from it.. Which, it seems, he does"

"Then you'd better shake off that combat rust."

*Raven frowned and nodded her head

"yes.... I guess I’m going to be even more trouble for you Daloo...."

"Not necessarily. You already have a sparring partner."

"As much as I suspect I shall be bruised before the sun's set I suspect that would be a good idea"

"You won't be."

"Promise not to be to rough on me?' she asked playfully

"I promise to help you shake the cobwebs and get back into fighting shape."

*She smiled and nodded her head

"I would appreciate that Daloo, Thankyou"

"Call me Crispin."

*She smiled softly

"That is not what you introduced yourself to me as.. Crispin" she replied softly

He nodded, then went back to his food.

*She too returned to her food. thinking about Jathren

"I wouldn't worry about Jathren." Daloo said, reaching over the table and taking her hand. "He's a second rate bounty hunter who couldn't find his own Airspeeder keys."

*She eyed her hand in his a moment then looked to him

"Jathren and i trained together when we where young.... It is sad that he has gone down this path" she sighed and smiled looking to their hands again and then him. it had been the first real form of affection he had shown that made her feel like more then something he was paid to transport. she was not after affection from him... at least she did not think she was. the humanoid company that was not oozig with darkness was something she enjoyed. Oh yes he felt of the Dark Side. but there was good in him. A lot of it, if one bothered to look past the protective exterior.

"But... I suppose if i can not take him on and come out victorious then i am a very poor excuse for a Jedi" she added with a bright smile

"I knew Boba Fett, I worked with Boba Fett. Your friend Jathren is no Boba Fett. I'd venture a guess and say he isn't even in Dengar's league."

He finished his drink, downing it.

"Still, I want you to promise me that if it becomes necessary to kill him, you will without hesitation."

*She pulled her hand back and nodded her head

"I understand...If it comes to that I will... But.. would it be worth seeing if he is interested in turning another leaf? Im sure you could find some use for him?" she asked. she had killed and yet she still held true to that naive thought that all could find good use in the world.

"I sensed nothing like that from him. A man like Jathren already made his choice and right or wrong he's going to stick with it. We have nothing to fear from him because he left us alone. If he'd been any kind of bounty hunter worthy of capturing me, he'd have captured us already. Instead he talked himself up and left us alone. Only reason I didn't kill him in the Cantina was because we were in the Cantina."

*Raven smiled and looked away

"Well who knows Crispin. Maybe there is a lot that you can teach him" she sat back and nodded.

"I am glad you did not kill him" she replied in a soft voice

"The Jedi believe that killing is wrong. It isn't. If the Jedi truly believed that, why did they carry around lightsabers? Killing in cold blood is wrong. Killing to protect yourself and the people you love isn't. Killing to prevent someone from killing you or the people you love isn't."

*Raven nodded her head as he spoke

"you would not have lasted in the temple with that attitude" she replied with a smile. she was not chastising him just being honestly

"Why, because I'm not an emotionless robot whose understanding of the Force isn't 99 percent dogma? Look, if Jathren charges at me firing off a blaster, I'm not going to plead 'Stop! You don't have to do this! There has to be a better way, look into your heart!'. I'm going to burn him down like a cheap house and so would you, I hope."

*she blinked and nodded

"Sadly... I suppose sentimental feelings do not come into a life or death situation so no... He has had his chance... if he pulls a weapon on me again, tries to, then he will loose more then a hand" though it was clear she didn’t want to.

"I want you to understand something. Just because I don't have a problem with killing if I have to doesn't mean it's something I enjoy. But it's a necessary evil in these times."

He sighed, finding his eyes drifting down to his hand.

"Sometimes very necessary."

"I understand that... Some people find it easier to kill then others.... with a centred mind and being focused it is hard for me to kill, remove limbs sure that is easy... but to end a life.. I have not mastered the ability to do so without thought or feeling" she replied. canting her head to the side

"You make that sound like you have killed when you did not wish to"

He didn't answer her.

"Raven, I want you to always have compassion but to also understand that if someone shows hostile intent, all bets are off. You have to take every threat seriously out here."

"And what if that hostility is shown out of fear or lack of understanding?"

"Hostility is hostility. Especially in a universe where everybody and their mother is looking to kill YOU because you carry around a little metal cylinder. It's ironic, really. Mundanes can sometimes be crueler than the most corrupt Dark Jedi."
*She frowned and nodded her head

"So even when that hostility is based on fear still kill?" she asked quietly

"If it threatens your life, all bets are off. What I mean is, Mundanes--non-Force users, when they are cruel they aren't cruel because some mystical dark energy is driving them to be that way. They do it often because they want to, maybe even because they enjoy it."

*she nodded her head and looked away pulling her booted feet up onto the chair she lent back and wrapt her arms about her legs

"it is a hard thought to think that mundanes can be worse.." she replied. it was not about arguing she was just voicing her opinion.

He watched her.

"If that doesn't chill your blood, maybe this thought will. There was always a lot more of them than there were of us."

He sighed.

"You know, the Jedi Order spent millennia locked in their ivory tower on Coruscant, high above the great unwashed, secure in their own superiority slowly becoming everything they claimed to stand against. Perhaps it's ironic that these all-seeing, all knowing sage-warriors couldn't forsee their own extinction."

*Raven looked away, resting her head on her knees, half hiding behind her hair

"Some of us saw it" she replied. barely a whisper

"Then why didn't you do anything to stop it? If you wanted to..."

*She sat up

"Crispin there is a lot I see... it was just another thing that I saw and was told was nothing to worry about" she shrugged

"I kept a journal of all my dreams, as Master Yoda said too... Usually they would be reviewed, like some from a few others but... I was always told it was just my chaotic minds way of leading me from my path..."

"As I said..."

*Raven sat forward and rose an eyebrow

"Crispin I was led to believe that those.. dreams where not real. How was i to know that... that something i saw could become a reality?" she asked

"It wasn't your fault, Raven. They were the ones who refused to listen."

*She nodded

"I know that.... more then five years in exile have taught me that.." her eyes narrowed and she looked away, trying very hard to not allow those emotions to resurrect themselves.. she was calm.. it was a better way to be...

He sighed. "You shouldn't be afraid of emotions. The Force FLOWS from your emotions. Just don't let your emotions rule you."

"I am not afraid of them... Just scared of submitting to them again" she replied softly

"Fear, anger and hate are all powerful emotions...but so are love, joy and compassion. Don't worry about fear, face your fear. Learn to conquer it."

*She laughed at this and rose an eyebrow

"Love? When was the last time a Jedi fell in love? Or felt true joy? Compassion yes but I have seen none of the other two that has not lead to bad things"

"It's happened more often than you think."

*She nodded her head

"Well I suppose it had... but none of them that are of such emotions every become members of the council right?" she asked

"I don't know." he shrugged. "But I'm sure it's happened."

"yes most likely.. there is much the council did not know about i suppose" she replied dryly it seemed her negative opinion of the council was growing

"Hopefully if there's another Jedi Order that ever comes along, it won't be as conservative."

"doubtful.... if the mundanes are as you say then there shall never be..." she looked down.. the idea of it made her sad.

"They can be. But they can also be compassionate, merciful, loving and brave. You see, one thing Force Users never like to admit is that well...they're us. We're them and they're us. Our sensitivity to the Force is the only thing that separates us. Unfortunately for most, it's considered more than enough."

"all people need is one little thing that separates them from so many others" she replied and sighed.

"And it seems what ones made us respected and looked up to now makes us a meal ticket...

"Let me tell you something, Raven. The minute you begin to believe that because of your gifts that you're better than anyone else is the minute you start down the dark path."

"I have never seen myself better. Maybe I should have and i would have made it further instead of being exiled" she replied a little coldly

"You didn't have a choice in the matter, did you?"

"no.."

"How did it happen?"

*Raven looked away

"Started after my brother died.... i worked one on one with a Jedi Master. meditation day in day out... finally i was allowed to train with others... I suppose it was my rare talents that kept me at the Jedi Temple for so long..." she sipped her drink and her eyes focused on the table, deep in thought remembering

"Surprised they didn't use you against the Separatists."

"There is a lot that i don’t remember... the Sisters helped me block a lot of it out... When they found me i was full of so much anger and pain.. nothing went in or came out... broke a lot of bones that month..." sighing she stretched arching her back

"but Master Yoda seemed to be insistent that it was important to keep trying" she said getting back to before the NightSisters

"Finally... when many my age and younger where sent on missions.... I demanded to know why I was to stay at the temple.... soon after that I WAS SENT ON A MISSION.... all full of joy and wonder not realising it was a cheap trick to get rid of me" she growled

"Strange why they'd get rid of you, but it seemed to be your destiny to survive the purges."

"I don’t know... I had an argument.. which was rather one sided.... but there was obviously things that I did not see.. Either that or I just can not remember everything" she apologised

"It'll come back to you in time."

"I really do not know if I want to remember much of that life Crispin" she replied truthfully

"IF you don't like those memories, then I suggest creating new, better ones."

"I am hoping to" she replied. a soft smile on her face

"time heals many things.." she added looking away and frowning

"But not everything."

"Apparently it heals a broken heart.." she stood up and looked at him

"If memory serves correctly... that’s one thing time can never heal" her eyes flickered briefly and she turned away from him. she was done walking down memory lane... snippets where enough to remind her why she was so eager to get away. what had happened, what she had done....

"A broken heart?" he asked, curious.

*Raven stopped and looked down

"It was said that time heals everything, specially a broken heart... at least that’s what mothers told their children... specially daughters after their first break up...." she smiled, though her back was to him he could not see it

"But... sometimes... when that heart is broken... it can not be healed..." she turned and looked at him with cold red eyes, surprisingly staying calm as she slowly relived a dark memory

"unless one breaks the heart that did the damage" she added coldly

"Had a boyfriend, did you?"

*She looked away and thought over that smiling

"Hmmmm a Padawon with a boyfriend? Now even you know such a thing is taboo.... or at least was" it still felt deliciously sweet

"I had until he died" it was very hard to not smile. thus she gave u and just smiled at the memory

"Sorry to hear about it. I won't pry. I hope he was a good guy."

"yeah... I guess... I sent his heart back to his mother" she replied calmly

"You're not like that anymore."

"no.... The Sisters taught me better then to post functioning organs to relatives" she replied simply. then frowned almost sadly

"No wonder I had no real friends" she mused

"Good idea."

*Raven looked at him a moment and thought over things

"I really was a horrible person... I suspect if it was not for that one gift I would have been gone long before...." she sighed and then smiled softly. walking over to Crispin she lent down quickly and kissed his cheek

"Thanks" she said softly before slipping away towards her room. He had helped her a lot, saved her life even, and for that she was grateful

He smiled a little when she kissed her cheek. "Don't mention it." was his response, before himself going into the hyper drive room to make some tweaks.

*Raven woke up feeling very refreshed slipping from her room she made her way to the central are to find food. She had decided to find Jathren... getting some food and a drink she took her usual seat. thinking over things as she ate. Raven found herself slowly changing... some things where no longer important where others where.

Did she no longer care? No. her priorities had just shifted from where they had been to where they were. She also had to be weary of causing serious trouble for Crispan... he was risking a lot having her there after all

There was a terrible clanking coming from somewhere else on the ship. A horrible, banging noise. As if something was trying to get in...or out. And yet it would not stop.

*She had thought the noise would pass. but when it did not she stood and went looking for it

"Crispin?" she called out, following the sound

*She had thought the noise would pass. but when it did not she stood and went looking for it

"Crispin?" she called out, following the sound

*Canting her head tot he side she looked down at the hole she found. crouching down she looked into it

"HEllo?"

The banging finally stopped. Daloo popped up from the hole, holding a hammer and practically scaring her to death. It wasn't a hole at all, actually. Just a compartment beneath the floor.

"What?"

*Crying out she fell back onto her ass. her heart racing. Blinking she stared at him

"Wha.... What are you doing down there?" she asked rolling and crawling over to peer down again. The beads in her long braids banging lightly against the metal flooring

"What do you think I'm doing? Maintenance? Artoo's aft giving the Hyperdrive a tune-up, I'm trying to squeeze a little more power out of this baby."

*She nodded her head

"ooh..." she twitched her nose briefly

"Hungry?" she asked. She couldn’t very well over assistance... after all she was one of the most unmechanical people she had ever known

"A little. Why, are you cooking?"

*She smiled playfully

"I’m sure I can come up with something that wont have you falling over and dieing" she offered playfully

"I'm game."

*She grinned and patted him on the head

"Ah... the young are so naive" she teased. getting to her feet and making her way back down the corridor to sort out some food

"Yeah, but I'm the one with the hammer."

*She paused and looked back at him

"That is far from threatening" She winked and scampered off. finding this and that.... She raided through the cupboards and put this and that together. It was not long before a delicious scent came from the common area

Ok, so his curiosity got the better of him, and he climbed out of the compartment, going into the galley area.

*Raven had found a good mix of things and had put together a savoury meal for him. it was like pancakes, rolled up with some hydrated fruits in side and a small mixture of syrup from reserve rations.

She had tied her hair up so it didn’t get in her way. She had little bits of white flour on her face scattered, but surprisingly none on her clothes

"Nose get the best of you?" She asked holding out a steaming mug of something to him, though keeping it close to her body so he had to come to her to get it, her grip on it firm with both hands

"Hmm." he said. "And I thought you said that you couldn't' cook."

*She shrugged

"Well... I lied" she shrugged. taking the mug he had not taken she moved to sit down. setting the mug down she stretched

"I also was not sure if I could trust you or if you were going to drug me and sell me off first chance you got. I was not about to share my talents now was I?"

"I can't say I didn't think about it..." he said, joking. Sitting down.

"Well then... your not as much of a pirate as you could be" she teased. sipping the drink and sighing

"mmmmm" finally she passed the mug over to him

"I'm not a pirate, I'm a smuggler." He drank from the mug.

"mm i forget" she rested her feet on the table and thought a moment

"when will we leave here?" she asked quietly

"Soon as the Wind is working. She's kind of temperamental."

*She nodded

"Good.... shall I seek out Jadeth before we leave?" she asked. it seemed she had come around to respecting his council now.

He sighed and put his mug down. "Are you crazy, suicidal or just stupid?"

"none.. but he will not be going away Crispin...." she sighed and looked away. He saw her as a fucking child that he needed to keep on the right path.

"Or we can continue going wherever and deal with him if and when our paths cross" she suggested

"Of course he won't. And we'll be ready."

*Raven nodded her head*

"Alright" she replied quietly

"Been keeping up with your training?"

"yes..... I am meditating each night for several hours and after eating of a morning" she replied

"Good." He nodded. Going back to his food.

*She nodded her head. HE was clearly satisfied with her response. Getting up she walked into the Galley again and started tidying up, though she had been cleaning as she went. leaving him to eat

Daloo stood up, looking around and going back to his work, beginning the hammering again.

Later that evening, Daloo entered the maintenance bay and clicked on the light. C-3PO jumped to attention.

"I'm sorry, sir, please don't deactivate me!" the droid frantically shouted.

"What's wrong with you?"

"He kept babbling on about his mission, I tried to stop him, but I'm an interpreter, not a ruffian! He's faulty and malfunctioning!"

He looked around. R2-D2 was gone. Daloo closed his eyes, trying to feel out for the droid.

"Crap."

*Raven had been quiet most of the day. sitting in the common area. she had been thinking over the day. finally she got up and went to find Crispin. Finally she found him.

"Crispin I need to..." She stoped and canted her head tot he side

"What’s up?"

"Runaway droid. He's gone after Obi-Wan Kenobi."

"So we go after him right?" she asked smiling

"Right."

"Sounds good... I’m ready when you are.." She had not called him by his name or any title since earlier in the day

"Threepio, come with us." he said. Getting a cloak. "The Imperial garrison's going to be looking for us after your little stunt today. We have to be careful."

*Raven pulled on a new cloak, the last one now dead... At his words she frowned and looked down at the ground

"I understand.."

"All I have is a swoop bike. It could carry you and the protocol droid, but not comfortably."

"Do we need to take the droid?" she asked curiously

"If the Empire comes looking for me I don't want them confiscating him."

"yes that is true.." she frowned and looked away

"Would it not be a good idea to get away from here in case... to be safe?" she asked

"That's where we're going. But we need a speeder."

"Well back to see what we can find then? Would it be safe for me to be seen traveling in public, or should i stay behind?" she asked concerned

"Then you'd best use Force Conceal."

*She nodded her head in agreement*

"Sounds like a plan... Shall we go acquire a speeder then?"

Daloo simply walked off the ship, heading out of the docking bay.

*Raven moved to catch up, pulling the hood over her head as she focused on concealing her identity.

*The sand storm stopped them from even making it into the city. So they where stuck on the Obsidian Wind until it passed. Raven got herself a hot drink and curled up very close to Crispin. She looked out one of the port windows and sighed, resting her head on his shoulder. she had wind burn across her face, stomach and back from the fast trip back tot he ship.

"I do not like these storms" HEr voice soft. Sipping her drink before holding it up to him
